Congratulations to him for still being a thing in 2025 though. The definition of a journeyman midfielder.

The positive of that is that they aren't stinking out the starting XI. If they do their jobs the bench is irrelevant. My money is on BDR coming on at 84mins

The demand isn't there? Half the people in the ground for QPR were casuals/part time supporters/ticket borrowers and general sales. Family Enclosure is currently oversold as many that were kids ten years ago are now being asked to relocate as they get older. There's no capacity for new fans and we missed the boat in expanding after the title win. Bear in mind how many people said in 1997 we couldn't sell out a League Cup semi final (17k out of 22k) so why move to a bigger ground? It's the old addage - build it and they will come.
-
And everyone's well aware that Little without Gregory, O'Neill without Robbo and Pearson without Shakey never quite worked the same.
-
Gonna have to dig out my "We should get Nuno" shout out from one the multiple "Rodgers Out/who can we get/next manager?" threads from March 23. A few people openly laughing at the time. Even if they miss top 4, even top 6, he builds well-organised sides. They're a mile above our spineless wonders right now, hard as it is to admit that.

Wycombe home. What could possibly go wrong?

Like some sort of a banner around the roofline? Good call. Bring it back. -
I have no idea how he goes to hit that shot at 0-0 with his instep and manages to strike it with the outside of his foot. Ultimate confidence player. Was the same after that miss at Leeds away last season. Vanished for 5 or 6 games afterwards.

That's re-writing history a bit. We needed cover, he was available and had notched a few goals under a new manager there. He hasn't worked out for whatever reason but he could have done an Ayew scored a couple of important late ones. It's a gamble but we haven't really lost anything. -
No problem with him moving but being on strike at a club that paid your wages for a year when your foot was pointing in the wrong direction was arsehole behaviour.
-
Our wide players tore him a new one last season. Not sure he's better than what we have.

In terms of their squads though, they're all on a similar level. One or two injuries and Fulham's back ups aren't that great. -
Nobody would pay what we want in the summer either. Our financial situation means anything we get is take it or leave it. As we found out over the last two summer windows, we're not in a strong position to negotiate.

The Bellingham effect. Not to mention Oliseh and Kane at Bayern. It's not the big jump people used to imagine it to be.
-
Another one predicting the rest of one of the most unpredictable seasons. Bournemouth and Forest in the top 6 with squads barely any better than those in the bottom half. West Ham have just lost Bowen and Antonio for long stretches and are taking regular tonkings. Wolves have ahd a bounce but again have a threadbare squad. Be nice if we had a bit of belief in ourselves for a change.

Palace H, Fulham H, Brentford H, Saints H West Ham A Everton A

I dunno where is Ipswich's first home win coming from? Against us, Southampton or maybe Chelsea? These pre-determined football games are getting boring. I wish it was unpredictable like every other season.
-
Exactly. Today has proved anyone can beat anyone and how unpredictable the league is if you get your shit together. Still got half a season with winnable games down here. Same people were saying we'd lost the Championship after Plymouth away.
