That's great that he's found something he really enjoys. As well as creating games, he might enjoy some of these STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) challenges, too: https://www.jamesdysonfoundation.co.uk/resources/challenge-cards.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw3-bzBRBhEiwAgnnLCuzmYtILHVIH5z_a_ie6d48HHnfct6sEdkSajP3tgCEDwmmgJZkkShoCEvoQAvD_BwE

The packs should help to give you things to work through, too. Seriously, though, if I can be of any help (I'm a KS2 teacher) do post on here or message me - I'm happy to try and help, and I realise how daunting it is for many parents. Imagine you were doing this with a class of 30 and the chances are you'll appreciate their teachers more in future! As for daily structure, involve your kids in drawing up a timetable that works for all of you. It doesn't all have to be 'proper' teaching - take the opportunity to teach them some useful life skills too and just enjoy spending time with them. Tech is fine - and there's loads of useful online learning out there - just use it in moderation.

She didn't really give much of a reason although she obviously genuinely felt it was essential. She said something about it being necessary for people's mental health! Fortunately I've become very good at having one (honest but inappropriate) dialogue going on in my head while another (more professional) version comes out of my mouth.

Hello! Yep, she was completely serious.

Some of the so-called 'key-workers' trying to send their kids to school is ridiculous. I've had one parent arguing that her role as a nail tech is 'essential'. I'm putting my own and my family's health at risk by going in to work to teach these children. I can understand the need if parents really are playing an essential role and have no alternatives but the people trying to play the system because they don't want their children at home is shocking.

I remember 'Top of the World' from many, many years ago. The bus station is classy in comparison! -
Aww, it's cute.

Sometimes. Although essentially they're pack animals - their natural inclination is to run with the herd.

She was completely right though... She might have said just 20 mins to look around but in her head she knew she'd easily take another half an hour browsing, she just wasn't going to admit it before you'd even left. Hence, an hour and a half...

You should get yourself to a well-qualified Bowen Therapist. They're doing lots of work and research on the TMJ.
