Remembering Bernard Murphy and Henry Scotton
Trav Le Bleu replied to kushiro's topic in Leicester City Forum
I can assure you @MrsJohnMurphy is not Bernard's mother, nor related in any way. -
Niche, but funny

If more people realised this then the less depression there would be. If everyone was nice to you and you were nice to everyone (and I mean you impersonal/plural here, something English dearly lacks, but used to have (thee/thou)), that is far nicer than you could ever be to yourself. Look after yourself Mr Weasel Fox!

International Break - Time To Reset
Trav Le Bleu replied to FoxesTalker's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought it was time to join the Foxes Trust? -
King own-goal hat trick and his place firmly cemented in the Leicester City pantheon.

I kinda agree, except I never found us boring this season. I loved the more slow build that manipulated the opposition. Don't think we've been "found out" (which, incidentally, never happens - all teams are able to observe other team and react accordingly - by the end of a season everyone knows how everyone else plays.), I just honestly think we've tried to fix something that wasn't broke... largely at the behest of the fans.

Oh, sit down!

FA Cup: Chelsea (A) 4-2 Post-Match Thread
Trav Le Bleu replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
I get what you're saying. The whole defence was ball watching, but it was most specifically Choudhury's job to cover that position. In many ways Vesty was the least to blame as at least he attempted to mark someone. -

Um... He was at least in the right place and at least forced the player to beat him. Not to mention that Jackson is lightning quick and will beat plenty of centre backs 1-1. -

Um .... The first goal was entirely Choudhury's fault. He was totally ball watching and allowed Cucurella to waltz in behind him with all the space in the world. -
FA Cup: Chelsea (A) 4-2 Post-Match Thread
Trav Le Bleu replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Would anyone really have wanted us to play on for an extra 30 mins with only 10 men. Personally, I'm not fussed as we put on a decent show, didn't fold and now don't have those extra games to worry about. Minimum of damage. -
Took me a while

The only mitigation (which doesn't change anything, so it's not really even that) is that it harsh in that it was the slightest of touches and you'll see far worse offences getting yellows further up the pitch. It's merely the goal-scoring opportunity that turns it into a red.

Yeah, like when being 2-0 down away to a Premier League team... I saw enough today and happy to be out of the cup with pride intact.

"Look back in history, we always bottle it." Different players. Different management. Different tactics. Same fans.
