  1. Again, I think playing with those tactics makes us easy to defend against. If we play Vardy and Daka Spurs will just sit a little bit deeper and their keeper will adopt a higher starting position limiting the space in behind. I think at any level of football you need as many players on the pitch that are good in 1vs1 situations. When you get past your marker it then draws another player out of position which then opens up the space for us to take advantage of. Mavididi, Bilal, Buonanotte, Soumare and Woyo (apparently) are all good in 1vs1 situations so ideally we'd want as many of those as possible on the pitch at any one time.
  2. The problem with a line up like that is that we would create absolutely nothing. Neither Justin or VK can go past an opponent in a 1vs1 so we'd rely heavily on getting the ball into Bilal who would be marked out of the game.
  3. I'd change it up and take a risk. I'd prefer that to constantly watching these rinse and repeat performances that we have to endure at the moment. Stolarczyk Faes Vestergaard Okoli Woyo Buonanotte Soumare Bilal Mavididi Vardy Ayew/Daka/Cannon (seriously not fussed)
  4. To be fair to him I think he has done well. He is unlucky in a way that we are all comparing him to Hermansen who in my opinion will go on to be one of the best keepers around for years to come.
  5. I feel for Ruud. He has been tasked with the impossible! He has some bang average players in this squad. Players such as Skipp, BDCR, Ayew etc were all really poor signings by Cooper. None of them would walk into any other Premier League side. If you look at our starting 11 we require a fairly big overhaul and I'm not convinced he'll get the support he needs in order to be succesful.
  6. Worrying to be honest. I fail to understand why he can't explain his thinking behind the substitution. At the end of the day as supporters we pay a lot of money to attend matches so the least Ruud can do is give a brief insight into his thinking behind the decision.
  7. Strong and clever? From what I see most weeks he just holds the ball up and lays it backwards? Not really what I'd like to see from a right winger but I respect that everyone has a different opinion.
  8. You could but then you are replacing like for like. Ideally we want more players on the pitch that are capable of beating their opponents. Having just one outlet in Mavididi makes him really easy to mark out of the game.
  9. A poor game to watch. We have no outlet. Ayew is too happy to constantly play backwards and Mavididi is having a quiet game. Everytime Bilal gets on the ball and looks up he has no one making a forward run. Buonanotte for Ayew at half time please.
  10. That's why Facundo has the ability to go past two or three players at once with ease. His runs both on and off of the ball are unpredictable. He is exactly the type of player you want in your side. He gets fans on their feet and makes things happen. Players like Ayew, BDCR and Kasey are too similar! They are all predictable. Their first thought is to pass the ball backwards aswell.
  11. A fairly good first half where we dominated possession and dictated the tempo of the game almost from start to finish but that was then followed by a lacklustre ten minute period at the start of the second half which has ultimately cost us the game. We always look at our best when we manage to find Bilal or Buonanotte in the space behind our opponents midfield. Unfortunately far too often our defence is too slow in getting the ball into their feet. I hope we make a few more signings asap! It is desperately needed. Especially in defence.
  12. I'm praying that he comes here and puts in a huge performance in his first match. Sometimes a new player is exactly what is needed to raise the performance levels of the other players.
  13. I feel sorry for Ruud. He has been dealt a fairly sh*t hand. Hermansen got injured shortly after he came in and to be fair to Mads he has single handedly won us some vital points this season with his incredible saves in certain fixtures. We have no right winger that is capable of going past his opponent... Our CBs are too slow... We have one decent striker... Our bench is incredibly weak His hands are pretty much tied at the moment however I do believe if we can make some decent signings and fast that he is capable of turning things around.
  14. Weirdly I feel optimistic tonight. I don't want to jynx the lads but I think recently the performances have been promising.
  15. No thanks! Just another Skipp. We need to be aiming higher
  16. A really frustrating player. He has the attributes and the ability to be a high level player. Unfortunately he is too inconsistent. Even during his better performances he can make blunders. He doesn't seem capable of concentrating for 90 minutes.
  17. The stadium announcer for the QPR match has to be one of the dullest in the country! The bloke sounds like he doesn't even want to be at the game.
  18. It seems like a very strange situation with Alves. The coaches at the club seem to rate him highly hence the long contract that was handed to him and he looks like a baller who is capable of gliding past players with ease yet he never gets a sniff of real first team action. It must be really frustrating for him aswell.
  19. RVN is the right man to get us out of the situation we are in. We look much more assured at the back under RVN. Villa park is a tough place to go to and we nullified their threat throughout the match. He can't be held accountable for JJ making a terrible decision which has ultimately cost us the match. He has no other options other than to play JJ at right back. If we can recruit the players he wants in January then we'll be fine.
  20. Alves/Buonanotte for Ayew please and soon. Give him a chance to run at the full back.
  21. A really good performance despite the result. The development and progression under Ruuds coaching was their to see today. We have to back him in the January transfer window and get the deals done early. Ideally i'd like to see us bring in two attacking full backs and potentially a right winger who likes to take his defender on.
  22. Justin is getting the ball in acres of space out on the right hand side and Man City are happy to allow him space and time. He's not being exposed in 1vs1's defensively so if i was RVN i'd be tempted to bring on a player who is better in attacking situations and take a risk.
  23. Mavididi's decision making during the first half has been awful. Even his work rate has been lacking compared to others
  24. I did mean RVN
  25. It'll be interesting to see what RVD will do here. I'd like to see him bring Mavididi on so that we have a player on the pitch who is confident in their 1v1's.
