  1. If you have the cash to invest now then S&P500 (VUAG) is always good and reliable. Coca Cola (COKE) was flying until they dipped recently. Same with Physical Gold (SGLN). Consumer Staples (SXLP) is another that has dipped the last 2 weeks but will recover. I have some in US Realty Income (DIVERSIFIED REIT) that has taken a hit the last few days but will definitely recover.
  2. One of those streaky players who looks good in short spells but is crap the rest of the time. Like a lot of Dutch players who move to the PL and find it a bit too much of a step up to perform consistently.
  3. Lol what the hell have I just watched!
  4. I watched Project Hail Mary at the weekend and had mixed feelings about it. They probably did as well as they could with it given the running time, yet there was still plenty they had to leave out. It's a difficult book to adapt IMO given it's pretty much all flashbacks and then just Gosling on his own (mostly). I imagine with the success of The Martian and PHM they will definitely be working on a screenplay for Artemis, especially since the main character is a young Muslim woman in her twenties. It's more adaptable too as it's basically a heist movie which naturally lends itself more cinematically.
  5. The acoustic version is even better IMO. Stripping it down really showcases what a good song it is, and what an amazing vocalist Hayley is.
  6. I bet it was like that IT Crowd scene at Denham's funeral when he prepared a special video for his son telling him about the pension fund. #fatheeeeeeeeeeeerr
  7. I'd have just asked for coffee with 3 sugars and plenty of milk, and then let it sit there and go cold. Maximum cost and inconvenience for them.
  8. By fat the worst celebration in history IMO. Looks an absolute weapon.
  9. You were very lucky Oxford conceded in injury time too.
  10. That's the whole point of this thread FFS. Anyone can say there's loads of fit women around. Just Google them. /thread.
  11. Lol 50/1 winner. Bookies loving it again.
  12. Probably the worst joke I've ever heard, never mind in this thread. Some going.
  13. I've gone for a couple of bigger prices sprinkled in today. Can't do any worse than previous days! 1.20 Minella Study 2.00 Jubilee Alpha 2.40 Spindleberry 3.20 Road Exile 4.00 Jango Baie 4.40 Wonderwall 5.20 Kel Histoire
  14. AMERICA F**K YEAH
  15. Once a cvnt always a cvnt.
  16. My picks for today: 1.20 Mighty Park 2.00 Lulamba 2.40 Winston Junior 3.20 Jagwar 4.00 The New Lion 4.40 Mclaurey 5.20 Newton Tornado
  17. Yeah I can still remember that rotten egg ammonia smell!
  18. I'm having a go in the syndicate with the work lads as always. None of the bookies offers are for existing customers though so slim pickings really.
  19. Also a fan of the book so have been looking forward to it.
  20. I agree. Get rid of the clipping nonsense at the end of straights and it'll be fine. Even though it's artificial I don't mind the battery deployment stuff. DRS was just as artificial but at least now the overtaken driver has an immediate chance to come back at them instead of having to wait for another DRS zone. It makes the racing more exciting at least and gives more battles. Which ultimately is what people want to see.
  21. Absolute cvnt. Edit - Hoddle, not you
  22. Just watched all of Small Prophets. Another quietly enjoyable jaunt from McKenzie Crook with amusing and quirky characters and subtle humour. The kind of everyday stuff we can all relate to and chuckle at. Not as good as Detectorists but still a good watch.
  23. I thought that was probably the case after seeing the HP logo, and wondered how it'd look on a red background. I don't know why the white area has to be so large though.
  24. Aston only have two batteries left for FP3, Quali and the race. I'm expecting them to not even to be able to race on Sunday unless they forfeit qualifying completely. Every time they came out in practice the car would break down soon after. It's a complete shit show from Honda who only have 30% of their previous F1 engine staff working on it, everyone else is new with zero experience of building race engines. I bet Lawrence Stroll is absolutely furious with them. Theyd3have been better with a customer engine from Mercedes or Ferrari.
