Won’t be a popular opinion but no one has strong armed them into medicine, this is a vocation they chose and most people who do it know they aren’t going to become rich working for the NHS. Every other nhs body has managed to settle with the govt, so have teachers - the 35% is the issue. I realise this goes back in time but this year private sector pay for the average worker will increase by a cpl of %. We have waived pay rises this year to support the lower paid staff, that would be unheard of 12 months ago.

I'm thinking of getting one later this year as the family car, the hybrid part attracted me as mon - fri my wife will drive it and use no petrol as her mileage is local and we'll all use it at weekend. I think the X5 Competition is the dream but you can't justify the running costs or initial outlay, some motor.

Agreed. Same people moaning about he cost of living crisis and have no money and have deliveroo 3 times a week! Never used any of them, just cook or go out for food, it isn't difficult

If you are looking in that price bracket, get a 12 month old X5 50e, you can do about 40 miles on electric, it shifts with 480 bhp. If she is looking at it from a company car pov the tax break is way too generous to go anything other than EV.

There is lots wrong with every ownership - there is a minority of fans at every club that arent happy whatever, it must be really draining. We achieved something that will never be repeated, played in the Champions League and have won the FA cup. Have a chat with a Reading, Charlton, Everton, Man Utd, Blackpool etc supporter and see how they feel. On top of this (excuse the pun) you're dad dies in a tragic accident and you are chucked immediately into the firing line. Doesn't make him immune to criticism, but everyone is an armchair Chariman, and the biggest decision most people have had to make at work is what to have on their lunch break - not necessarily how to run a multi million £ business off the back of that backdrop.

If it's going to be abroad at least make it a good city - Ibiza town, Krakow, Hamburg, Amsterdam. (this wouldn't work for obvious commercial reasons )

Not bothered, personally think it's a bit weird for adults to be wearing footy shirts, especially as about £60 a pop. Anyone that has shown discontent towards our ownership shouldn't be going anywhere near this or the concourse.

Thought I wasn't dreaming. Set pieces are so important in the PL both the back and offensively, good at both and you have a much better chance of staying up. After being apathetic about the appointment I think Cooper could be the shot in the arm the club needs.

Potter clearly didn’t. if you manage a team - you quickly realise it’s not always the smartest you need in the boat, you need people that will run through brick walls and deliver for you. Attitude, desire and willingness are all great characteristics.

How much did Cooper spend getting Forest from bottom to promotion? It's hard to be selective when comparing, WBA have also had parachute payments and Forest had been rotting in the Championship and even Lg 1 for 20 odd years. Cooper has a better win % too btw. What do you prefer from a tactical set up perspective that gives us an edge in the premier league, with a manager who has never managed there?

Quotes from a guy I used to work with and a big forest fan: Firstly he’s very charismatic - he’ll really try to get under the skin of the club & community and engage with the fans. Which I think is important for clubs like ours, you really feel like he buys into it. On the pitch, the football during the promotion season was really exciting - fast, counterattacking stuff that got you off your seat. It was too open when we went up as the PL is ruthless, we took a few hammerings (including at Leicester!) and so we then largely went low-block, counterattacking. Which did the job but some fans didn’t like it, we particularly struggled away from home. It’ll be interesting to see if he changes that at a more settled club & with a full pre-season.

Corberan failed at what Cooper succeeded doing? And took Forest from the bottom up to the Premier League. He failed at both Huddersfield and WBA. Did you see WBA in the play offs. Stinking. I'm not sure what he's achieved over Cooper if you are comparing the two
