I don’t think Shepshed see it like that. -
Realistic Managerial Replacements

Martin O’Neill was sacked by Shepshed Charterhouse. -

I don’t disagree it’s bare minimum (though not much worse than what I expected pre-season). But the idea it’s ‘far better’ is pushing it. I’m not sure which strikers and defenders you think are top end Champ quality on the Prem wages given to them a few managers ago now. -

You reckon that this squad is value for money for the wage budget then? -
Is this the worse it’s ever been?

It’s not really true. There was still debts then including the £17m related to the still fairly new shiny stadium. The club’s wage to turnover percentage was worse at the time of the L1 relegation (103 per cent). People didn’t care/notice as much because there was no talk of PSR and actually being in administration and close to the wall just five years earlier. By comparison, five years ago this season, we were winning the FA Cup and chasing the Champions League. That’s precisely why it probably feels worse. We’d had a few ever increasingly poor seasons in the Champ than we were used to as well in 07/08. There was also more of an acceptance then that players were limited but tried harder, partly because of the huge wages many are currently on. -
Yeah, just like we did with Carranza and Edouard. That worked out well.

This game’s like the regular season. Madness that doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense. -
No. Surely no-one’s stupid enough to be mad about immigration, want ‘reform’ and then vote for the former Minister for Immigration?

This and the fact the Jags had no time outs left to stop the clock while the Bills could stop it whenever. If the Jags had stopped the play, the Bills would run 40 secs off the clock, then gone again and have three more goes at scoring from a place you’ll score from nine times out of 10. -

Anyone else getting annoyed at the ‘oh what a brave little boy Josh Allen is’ narrative? He’s fine gtf on with it. -
Right, so if he’d have played the kids and we had lost you wouldn’t be in this thread and would be absolutely fine with that? Bullshit!
-
Well that’s part of the point. It’s fine playing youth players but you have to lower expectations overall. It feels some think if you throw the youth in they’d just waltz the Championship. I thought you were implying the same but apologise if I got the wrong impression. I couldn’t agree less with ‘only purpose of the FA Cup is to give players minutes’ phrase though!

He looks what he is. A young and raw talent. He’s got plenty of time but he’ll have ups and downs. He’s was never going to hay tear up the Championshp like Messi.
-
I’d got Grimsby in my head but that was League Cup, wasn’t it?
-
You expect them all to be good enough now and challenge for promotion at the same time?
-
Was trying to remember who we lost to?

And that’s how a tyranny/dictatorships work. You have to toe the line out of fear. You could be a saint but those behind the tyranny will attempt to make you look bad in the public conscious. Also, ICE are ‘law enforcement’ in that that there is only one law they can enforce. They are not even meant to have the power to detain someone they don’t believe is an illegal immigrant. If you’ve not broken into the country as 96 per cent of the country haven’t, why should you fear them?

It is genuinely amazing the lengths people are going to so they can convince themselves this woman deserved to be shot in the head.

We were paying over 100 per cent of wages after parachute payments ran out, as this 2011 blog by Swiss Rambler after the KP takeover states - https://swissramble.blogspot.com/2011/03/all-change-at-leicester-city.html?m=1 It’s quite interesting reading in hindsight. Of course we weren’t in trouble with the authorities at the time because PSR didn’t exist then. We would have been if it had.
-
Yeah it means nothing on its own without context. I’m pretty sure that post match it was mentioned by Sky that the team that had covered the most distance in the Championship this season was West Brom. Sky get their stats from Opta which aren’t published entirely as you have to pay for them.
