Why are we assuming that the club is competent enough to sign a CB who is even average (an improvement on what we have now)?

He is just abysmal. The fact he cups his ears and sarcastically applauds us is astonishing. Even if he were any good I wouldn't want him near the club.

I don't rate any journalist that didn't have us finishing top that season either. Proof that they are entirely unreliable.

100%. I am fortunate enough to have a very high amount of points, but I also know people who have barely bothered with aways over the past few seasons yet still find themselves in the top bracket. The system has to allow for people to move up and down, and currently it's incredibly difficult. Surely even the biggest beneficiaries of this system can see that it is all a bit of a sham. Also feel that those in the lower groups (all STH/members) should have more opportunity than they currently do (maybe a larger ballot?). Not sure how we go about that other than being absolutely shocking and nobody wanting to watch us though...

They are absolutely useless. If they think we need up to five players as survival depends on it, why have we gone into the last couple of games without any business being done. You'd think their little "review" would have alerted them to importance of not wasting winnable matches (when they took so long to sack, and then appoint a manager after Rodgers).
