  1. Felt like we were at least trying to give it a go. Sadly, we are just not that good. I'm at least satisfied that trailing a goal we weren't just trapping the ball on the half way line and passing it back to the keeper. There was a bit of fight but just not enough quality. I live in hope we just have more quality than at least 3 more clubs come the end of the season we can build upon.
  2. Was surprised at how reasonable they were honestly. Not to take anything away from our result, as I can't remember the last time I jumped off my sofa so high (and also woke up my pregnant wife who was taking a nap) but I couldn't help feeling for the saints fans (after watching those vids) given how many times we have been on the end of one of those.
  3. The saints fans seem alright tbh. Quite an honest bunch who most seem to dislike Martin They even had a Leicester fan on and treated him nicely. That being said, I hope they keep Martin.
  4. I'm not a massive fan of Cooper or trying to defend him but: F#ck xg **** possession stats While we're at it F$ck psr **** var They are all, in my opinion, ruining football.
  5. +1 for this. Also live in the US - and am interested. Think I asked you last time how much but completely forgotten.
  6. Just listened to the Under the Cosh pod with Albrighton and he talked about McLeish coming in at Villa and that it was never going to work as the fans were against him from the start. Seems there are some parallels here. Nice bloke and all but sometimes things aren't a good fit.
  7. Kinel that is pretty cold.
  8. The ref also wasn't having any of it IIRC.
  9. Unbelievable Jeff!
  10. The bit about Clive Clarke was interesting and sounds like it really took a toll on him. At the time I remember being quite shocked but as he pulled through didn't think too much more of it. I have heard him speak about it before and how everyone genuinely thought he was dead in the dressing room. He certainty paints a picture of the scene and sounds like a nice bloke for what he did. Football aside he sounds like a mad bastard but a genuine good person.
  11. Great pod. Refreshing to hear how open and honest Martin was. What a mental period.
  12. Wouldn't you be happy if more people where on the Cooper out bandwagon?
  13. I've given him a chance but sad to say it doesn't appear to be a good fit. On the evidence we've seen it just doesn't look like it's working out. I hope I'm proven wrong and he takes us to great success.
  14. It hasn't.
  15. The article reads that some players don't like Cooper because he is too relaxed and also didn't like Enzo because he was too bossy. Jesus, they just need to get over themselves and play football.
  16. I thought Weale was pretty good in the championship and felt nice finally having someone you knew was going to start. I think after Ian Walker we had about million different shit keepers until Weale came in. Maybe that is reasoning enough to remember him fondly. Still scarred by the Kevin Pressman blunder. I remember being excited by Ricardo but then very disappointed 😂. Things definitely got better once Kasper came in.
  17. Id be interested to see/hear from fans from other clubs to see how we compare.
  18. Definition of a yoyo club sounds depressingly familiar. Sounds like a good blend of youth in the squad then. Always exciting to see that.
  19. I'm sure we'll all be following his progress and hoping Dundee do well. Any notable players that have come through the team and gone on to good things recently? What are the expectations for Dundee this season?
  20. Hi Stu, thanks for posting! What are your thoughts about Braybrook? There seems to be genuine hope on here that he will end up in the first team at some point, there were even (more) than a few that thought he would be an impact sub for us this season. I think if we didn't have Alves on our books he'd probably be the highest rated youngster in our ranks.
  21. I thought the whole team played well in the second half TBH and Reid was in on those few big moves (granted I watched it on the TV so didn't see the bigger picture). I would argue second half wilf may have been the worse? But it's hard to pick for me, wilf made that clearance in the first half which was pivotal.
  22. Worse than Soumare? Give your head a wobble mate.
  23. I liked the post match where Carragher was umming and aaring on whether he was our greatest player. I don't think it would take many Leicester fans to spend as long as him to decide.
  24. Cooper said he was trying to bring several players in. Calm down everyone. Could be a good squad player. 5 subs and all that. Yes it's not the most sexy signing but it's going to be a long season, we need some prem experience.
  25. His work rate is great too. I agree he's unspectacular but seems to pop up with important goals. Good in the air too.
