  1. When did we become so bereft of confidence and so utterly shit that we can't even get the ball at Newcastle for 85 minutes of the game 🤔 utterly shocking! That said Bournemouth have lost 3 on the spin and there's no way Gary O' Neil will accept a 4th to end the season flat as a pancake. There is hope and it's that what kills you 😜
  2. Passive complacent squad lead by a passive arrogant overpaid manager.
  3. I presume his dad was a professional footballer which is how he got into the game in the first place, on a par with me playing in goal aged 14 and I was terrible.
  4. Has to be the size of his payoff and the financial situation I suspect, they're holding out to see if our results pick up to avoid the biggest sacking fee during Charles's reign so far. Well we really desperately needed to sell the house but we didn't have the cash for the conveyancing fees so we just let the place rot 🤔
  5. Balance being the word here, totally agree. Potter is getting his players to perform way above their abilities. It's reached a point where Trossard is the better Belgian for me over Youri. He's certainly playing a hell of a lot better now. If anyone suggested to me 2 years ago that Trossard was even as good as Youri I'd have sniggered. Now I'm thinking I was wrong back then because he's certainly looking excellent now and decent in the past to be fair. Those 2 Belgian midfielders are the ultimate juxtaposition of the two managers and how effective those managers are.
  6. Check your spelling for that presentation tomorrow before you share the slide deck
  7. Time to go. The players are just adrift and they desperately need a new leader. Rodgers himself to me is just going through the motions and looking forward to his pay off/holiday which is a pretty horrendous attitude so early on in the season. Perhaps I'm wrong and he is motivated/bothered but I think his frame of mind is rubbing off on the squad.
  8. 1st choice - Graham Potter but I doubt he'd leave Brighton for us. 2nd choice - Thomas Frank but I doubt he'd leave Brentford for us. Wildcard - Patrick Viera but I doubt he'd leave Palace for us. All those 3 would be better than this version of Brendan Rodgers though who is only still here because he was earning more than Jurgen Klopp fairly recently, he's more overpaid than Cristiano Ronaldo for this output. I fear the Disneyland beautiful training ground could be a poison chalice when we're losing. Players need to knuckle down and work hard and they'll be back at a beautiful boutique hotel basically feeling like they're on holiday 😂
  9. I've blown around ÂŖ45,000 through gambling which I'm not proud of but I talk about it because bottling it up when I was in that whirlwind was perpetuating the problem, that secrecy factor with gambling online and nobody knows it's happening is such a curse but in your mind when in the midst of it it's like an orchard of poison apples, nobody knows what I'm up to, I have this secret life and this secret power and control - of course in reality being out of control. I used to bet pretty much 24/7, watching basketball all night not sleeping. Betting at 4am online before a 6am shift. I basically emptied my bank account twice through it, once when around 18-19 and then again around 25-26. Nowadays almost 31 it just doesn't enter my head really, I don't bet, I don't have the urge to, I did have ÂŖ2.50 e/w on the grand national at the betting shop because I thought I'm in control and this is literally a bit of fun on the national. I've forgotten the name of the horse but it finished 1 place out of each way, I didn't get upset by this, I didn't get tempted to bet more. Maybe I'll do the same on next year's grand national will see! Also having bipolar means a certain addictive personality I guess, I was diagnosed around 2 months after the second gambling blow out, so I guess that helped me put things into context. I can't blame my silly actions on an illness but I can frame those whirlwinds in the context of the general traits of bipolar sufferers, to at least make sense to a certain extent. Anyway I think I'm trying to say I sympathize with everyone struggling in this topic, I hate the gambling firms and relentless advertising but I am through the other side, I can live with myself and thank myself lucky I'm still breathing. I sometimes think wow that 45 grand would have been a tidy house deposit and all that stuff but (and I don't mean this as a brag) I've got more cash to my name than I've ever had in my life, I've recently been promoted at work and things are good. And all these good things I would never have believed possible 5 years ago, and 12 years ago. Hell even 2 years ago to be fair. So hang on in there everybody because if I can be hopeful for the day ahead and if good things can happen to me, then they sure as shit can happen to you too even if you don't believe it today 🙂
  10. Time for a change of manager, if not during this season which is a write off now anyway then definitely in the summer. Hopefully a big club approaches him and we don't have to pay compensation.
  11. Anyone who thinks we're going to be in a relegation battle/scrap needs to have their head testing, this is the best Leicester City squad in my lifetime. Not the best first 11 but a squad definitely. That said anybody who thinks we'll finish 5th for the third season on the trot needs to have their head testing.
  12. That winning goal from Kelechi was Cristiano Ronaldo in his prime. I don't know what has happened to this utterly hopeless player of 4 months ago who never earned a starting place he was that inept even against lower league opposition in cup matches when you consider we signed him in 2017 and he's done nothing until 2021. Whatever has happened I bloody love King Kelechi 👑 😅
  13. Not even a penalty? I remember you when you were just a prince 😂
  14. Five quarter-final defeats since our last win at this stage, and I was in the stadium for all five of them. Wycombe remains the most upset I've been at the end of a Leicester match, moreso than the relegations, and slightly more than Spurs 1999. The expectation that day was a certain victory, and the excitement of a neutral ground semi-final as a 9 year old had me drooling, only to be snatched away by a team even Akinbyi should have put to the sword. The ghost of Spurs was laid to rest in 2000, the ghost of Wycombe remains very much at large. United haven't lost an away game domestically for 14 months, we haven't beaten them since the 5-3 magic, we have a FA Cup quarter final bottling streak to break, and given they played Thursday night with another 95 minutes on the Fernandes clock, we have a great opportunity here. Please Leicester, please Kelechi fire us to victory for all the mothers out there, finally lay the ghost of that striker from Ceefax to rest đŸ‘ģ Get in to them!
  15. This forum needs a bit of maddog, it's crying out for it. We must win this game after Brendan's seven deadly changes. We need to keep in touch of 4th and stay in the champions League race, you can't rest 7 players and not beat Newcastle in the game afterwards. Are we going to slit throats in the chase for 4th or are we going to be tepid and finish 8th. It's time to make your choice Brendan.
  16. No urgency, no drive, no passion. Abject and error strewn passes throughout. Plenty of casualness and laziness. Truly woeful for 3 games now with little signs of improving. I'd take another draw against Everton Wednesday if offered it right now.
  17. Slight favourites to go Wembley, I'll take that.
  18. Just seems to be the players have taken the foot off the gas and complacency has set in, for Rodgers and the players. During the long winning run when we got the ball we looked to drive forward with it immediately, and several players made sprints forward and we created chances and scored lots of goals. Now it's all sideways and backwards ponderous passes and general slow play allowing opponents to get back into shape, rather than those frighteningly quick attacks. It doesn't make sense that we win all those games playing that vibrant attacking football and now seem to have stopped playing that way, I don't think it's a coincidence the form has gone completely since Rodgers got his massive payrise and new contract either. Chilwell can go in the summer he is truly a dreadful defender but he's playing so badly now Chelsea might not even come in for him.
  19. Over the two legs Sevilla dominated us in all departments, missed penalties. We got through. You win some, you lose some. Balance is restored from 3 years ago tonight. Villa will lose 4-0 or 5-1 in the final to Man City, was a very OTT pitch invasion for that.
  20. It's a bit harsh but he's championship fodder I'm afraid. He will not make it as a Premier League player and will end up in a mid table championship side. He was having a very poor game before his goal, and most members of this forum would do Ben Mee for pace. Sorry Harvey ☚ī¸
  21. The Burnley game starts a run of seven (eight if we reach the EFL cup final) matches in a row for us that are being shown on television across BT, Sky and the BBC. Surely this is easily a record for Leicester City in terms of number of fixtures shown on television in a row? It has to be.
  22. Away goals don't count in this so let's go big at home and thrash them 12-7. Wembleyyyyyyyyy !
  23. Ultimately if we have a longer rest between games it has little bearing on how we should perform. Professional athletes paid millions of pounds per year, they can cope with this as long as they have the right positive mindset. If we play awful and lose to west ham it won't be down to the short rest time at all, it will be down to bad mental attitudes, or just an off day which can happen for any team like Man City losing to Norwich.
  24. He was dynamite in fantasy football when at Fulham. Cheap and lethal :p
