Ipswich get a goal back, game on. Strange seeing Portman Road with an atmosphere, apart from a promotion, Roy Keane briefly and this current run they've been a nothing club for 25yrs.
-
Kevin Phillips in the promotion season, zimoframe celebration. Every other visit we were miserable.

Wolves 1-0 in only 4 minutes

Man City forum haven't picked up on it at all.

Everton have released a Pride shirt with Hummel. It's the Danish template which Southampton are using for their home this season. Looks absolutely hideous.

We didn't win at Anfield once during our whole 9 year stay in the Prem.

Doyle's our most physical player. Replacing him with Justin will weaken our defending set pieces.
-
Happened within the first 3 minutes, 50/50 for a low ball where both the players kicked into the ball at the same time, loud noise from the ball. Doyle was hobbling for a couple of minutes after but then completed the whole rest of the first half fine, we didn't check him out at all.

It's when the games and the injuries add up, you have to rely on the whole squad. We're still very early in the season, temperatures in the high teens, and we're still in the League Cup. I'm still not sure that we've actually played any of the challengers for the Title yet; Southampton are a mess, Coventry have lost their 3 best players in Gyorkes, Hamer & Doyle, and Norwich are a mess. We evidently have a talented squad and Enzo is doing the business. Most of the signs are good but I'm certainly not going to get ahead of myself yet and echo other comments in the thread that we'll win the League at a canter... inevitably tempting fate.

They're being taken over by Americans now too. Can see them staying up now as power is consolidated in the League, even if this 777 looks suspect now, there has to be a purpose in mind for why these interests want to own Premier League clubs. The only Asian owned team left up there are Wolves, who are being screwed over by refs every other week. Premier League has gone through a huge shift since COVID. Can't quite tell what's going on with Forest, but their ability to elasticate the wages and sign any old crap from any old place is probably quite convenient. Brighton have taken over our role in the League, even bettered us with the sums of money being made but no silverware to show... yet. They're one of the only bright sparks left in the League but even when you scratch under the surface their owner made his money "playing the bookies", which is usually an impossibility as they lock out anyone who's too successful or they recruit them into the gambit.

Stoke are Catagory A for our ticket prices soon. Hull & Preston rated below.

Go for it. If we intend to have a Premier League team again we might aswell test ourselves against them when given an opportunity. Last piece of silverware missing from Vardy's collection too. Championship, Premier League, FA Cup... all he needs is League Cup. Give it go.

AEK no mugs, Champions of Greece. You think these sides are poor until you play them and they're taking every chance. Admittedly we beat these but sides who came here, Slavia Prague ect. Maybe not the prettiest but they'll find ways to get at you.

Our Southampton goal has been 1up'ed by Gateshead https://x.com/nocontextfm1/status/1704496406239555743?s=20

Does seem abit of a luxury. He's got alot about him but does need polishing, this is the right League for it.
-
Still fresh off the plane. It's hard to judge him fully yet, he looks good, but it's just if he can adapt to The Championship.

Vincent as a name means "Conqueror", Henry means "House Ruler". Wasn't his surname debated about here earlier in the summer too? Best guess anyone had was it was something to do with female horses because of the 'Mare' bit.

S-soooooooo Rudkin is decent now?

Looked disjointed with all the changes, hung on in the second half but ultimately defeated a decent side. Performances from Mads, Hamza, Faes, Vesty, Doyle, Winks, McAteer. Subs came on and killed them, Fatawu lively, Vardy busy and KDH buzzing around everywhere. Exposed Norwich in the first half, savy side but cro-magnons for CB's. We clung on abit and battled for the clean sheet. Positives and things to take away from it. Academy is producing some good players.

Coady's gonna find it hard to find a way back in. I've previously given Vestergaard stick for seemingly not wanting to be a footballer any more, yet here he is proving me wrong. Solid, growing importance.

Correct subs. Not sure about Casadei in possession.
