I would sack van Nistelrooy to make this an even more pointless TV game.

I actually hope an opposing manager or player will publicly say how bad we are and how comfortable we are to beat. The only way it might change.

Not scoring is the worst part of this. I would probably take losing 4-2 at the moment.

Part of the reason why clubs are going up and struggling. Either untested at the top level or failures. The last coach who got promoted who was probably way above the division was Marco Silva.

Added to the fact the likes of Farke, Wilder and Parker, barring one season, have hopeless records at that level.

I would hope one or more Phoenix clubs would emerge. If not, probably become a lower and non league tourist.

Most of the players who seem to have real affection for the club either had us as a big move or spent a long time there. It matters and is why most of the current lot just have nothing about them.

The manager doesn't have to play him. If Vardy kicks up a fuss and the owner sides with him, van Nistelrooy can do little about it. If he is selected because he'll complain if he isn't then the manager cannot stay.

That relegation came exactly at the wrong time with our overspending and the tightening of the financial rules. We were so far ahead of Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford etc that survival and not getting into PSR difficulty would have seen us ok. We have lost it in three years and are very unlikely to get back to that level.
