I think there is a general air that people aren't bothered what happens. "We'll be there whatever" is noble but allows apathy. The whole point is that, whilst being in the Championship and League One- we didn't want to be there! Fans complained in the 90s and 00s in those halcyon days of second tier struggle. Martin O'Neill got slaughtered because it looked like he wasn't going to achieve promotion. And, as others have said, why is this love for the club and owners not replicated in the stands? Surely it should be drowning out the negativity?

These rules have been in place for over a decade and suddenly clubs are losing too much money? Just when the threat of the regulator came in? As long as clubs were solvent and no repeat of the Portsmouth situation arose, it was all good. I mean, the brand of the league is based on boasting about how much money it spends and dwarfing every other league in Europe. Then all of a sudden, too much money is lost, apparently. No wonder it isn't viewed seriously.

"Remember in the relegation season when we got behind the lads and it made all the difference when we, er, still went down. Foxes Never Quit!"

Most of those comments must be people doing it as a parody.

Didn't like that Saints bloke kicking water bottles in anger after the goals. Much prefer coaches who clap and write in notebooks after conceding.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Dyche wants backs to the wall defenders. Coady probably fits that (though Dyche didn't want to keep him) yet he'd still have to play at least one of Faes or Vestergaard who are as soft and erratic as anything. -
Man Utd's home record can't be much better than ours.

Plenty of reasons (timing of the game, run of form). Saturday will be similar.

A fantastic cameo of him constantly tying his laces up then spending an age to take set-pieces when we needed goals.

The points total from the performances of both managers in imbalanced. I don't think this spell has been as bad as 4 from 8 games, whilst I have no idea how Cooper's games managed 10 points. To be honest, I would have had neither in charge but I think we would be in the same position under Cooper. It was turning before he left. -
Thousands of empty seats and the place was quiet apart from the singing section. Another flat night to keep this forgettable season going.

I think our general play is quite good, the front four link and move well, the players are comfortable in the ball but we are totally ineffective in both boxes. Too many good chances missed and soft goals conceded. I cannot see it changing. Van Nistelrooy is trying to give us a shape and structure but without the end product so far.

Can't stand this box ticking exercise of choosing established sports broadcasters.

We need to talk about social media and fans

The game has become too serious but understandably so given the ludicrous levels of money involved. Everyone is conspired against, everyone hates us, it isn't fair etc. People get too worked up about it. I understand it with your own club but there are those who obsess over what rival/ other clubs are doing, too. It must be exhausting. I know we are on here a lot so probably some hypocrisy involved but I like to think we have a laugh as well. I see some ranting in comments on Talksport YouTube videos and wonder what happened. -
In his defence, eczema can be truly horrible. As a lifelong sufferer, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Sometimes you don't want to leave the house for embarrassment on how it looks. Can be physically and mentally tough to deal with, especially serious outbreaks.

LCFC will NOT face any charges for breaching PSR

I was thinking more about the wages we pay, transfer fees, where we sign players from. Being better at negotiating sales, things like that. -

Yes, the natural reaction to this would be to lose even more eye-watering amounts of money. This has to bring real change within the club. We need a different, more measured approach. -
We need a massive change. We cannot keep going through this every six months. Whole set up needs properly reviewing.
-
How many are they bringing? Got real potential for the quietest overall crowd of the season.

Proves really that the PL were not interested in any of this until the threat of the regulator came in and now still aren't trying to nail down punishments etc. The fact that hotel sales, car park sales, teenagers going for £15 million after a few games shows how ridiculous it all is. I think financial control is important but it is basically a lottery as to what is and isn't allowed, plus the timing of the financial year v end of the season. If we have breached we deserve a punishment but the whole thing needs overhauling. Even Kieran Maguire did not seem impressed with the overall situation of the regulations.

I doubt Cooper would do something like that. Poor. -
Replays have gone because the schedule has been cramped by extra European games. Nothing to do with workloads, player welfare, the space has been taken by extra matches involving six teams.
