Macquarie Loan for Parachute Payments Rolled Over
Corky replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
For nearly a decade, from Kante to Dewsbury-Hall, we had assets we could sell for big money, often far more than one at a time. There was a guarantee of a large transfer fee coming in. Now we barely have a sellable asset with limited scope for bringing in replacements. We were relegated at precisely the wrong time in 2023 with financial rules tightening. The best recruiters are long gone and we are starting again probably behind where these owners took over. We are now in fluke territory where we find a manager capable of getting promoted and keeping us up with an inability to spend money and the threat of losing bright prospects increasing all the time. And we saw with Maresca that they won't stick around. It is grim. -
Tried to narrow it down because we've had some dislikable players in good and successful teams, others have not been good but not hugely dislikable. My eleven, to me anyway, were unsuccessful, dislikable and shit.

Ward as the keeper. He played like a reluctant 7-a-side keeper. 7 years we paid him a fortune. Defence will be Coady (gobshite), Rogers (shit), Jacob Laursen (niche but he was appalling) and Keown (moron). Midfield- Wise (no explanation needed), Soumare (pointless player), Ben Marshall (mouthing off at our own fans when 2-0 down), Lee Marshall (total shit and played with his collar up) Attack- Hammond (rubbish) and DJ Campbell (terminally offside).
-
Most defenders in the decade before him managed to achieve things here and didn't need to be bundled out on loan. Yeah, he's escaping us at our worst point but, as @Dan said, he'll be one of the symbols of the decline.
-
Reform appear to be Farage plus plenty of that Tory government.
-
I just said I was going to miss Wout F* "s, no need to use appalling language.
-
Really going to miss him backing off or being shrugged off the ball then cupping his ears to us.
-
Carrick has just failed to reach the play-offs twice with a big Championship club who are now doing much better since he left so obviously Man United manager material.
-
Has the look of a 2-0 defeat in front of 17,000
-
Jason Manford?
-
He gets 2 in 25 next season and we are renaming it Lyndon Dykes Road.
-
If Carlsberg did draws Two fanbases collectively groaning at this.

Coventry (A) - January 17th 12:30pm - Pre Match Thread

Our last five games have been dire and somehow yielded six points. Will genuinely depend on their attack functioning. -
Managing them now and also played as wing half between 1962 and 1968.
-
No acknowledgement from the club about his birthday. Fans moaning about being part of a Tifo for him. What a club.
-
Problem is that they kept saying Liverpool's decline would never happen to them.
-
Both Darren Fletchers absolutely gutted.
-
Marvellous lack of enthusiasm from the TNT lads when that went in.
-
He's probably having a great time, scoring and assisting in a top league and not having small time clubs singing about his wife
-
We should have grown the fanbase properly in that time but we failed to expand the ground and entice people in when we were successful so why would they bother now? No increase in capacity, no general sale has locked in the same people.
-
If we draw Southampton at home can we combine it with the league game and save the bother of having a midweek match?
-
I haven't been to an away game for years but reading this site you get the sense there is no fun happening. Even in the Championship seasons pre-2014 when results were mixed you still had some humour and light - heartedness around the away following.

"We all have areas of ignorance in our knowledge". Bloody hell. If you don't know the full meaning of the word, don't use it.

All a bit LinkedIn, isn't he?

And back then, it wasn't really the true definition of non-league as it was reckoned the Southern League was on a par with the Football League.
