Our strongest 11 now we know our squad.
scinnell replied to jayfox26's topic in Leicester City Forum
Storlarcyk Ricardo Faes Vesterguard Thomas Winks Soumare Fatawu James Mavididi Ayew I know little about Ramsey and Carranza at this stage, so reserve judgement. I'd love to build a team around Nelson, but quite simply, Faes and Vesterguard are our best CB's at this level. Monga is a better impact sub at this moment in time, but I'm sure replaces Mavididi as the season progresses and he gets more experience. -
Stopped reading after this.

Sell reluctantly. He is our best CM with the low bar that we have set ourselves, but one year left on his contract and one of our biggest wage earners.
-
I dont care how old he is if he's cheap and has the right qualities which we lack.
-
The recent left winger rumours makes me think all is not well with Mavididi..

Spot on and as it should be. For years now we have strengthened the squad, rather than the starting XI and it has ultimately put us in this mess.

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
scinnell replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
I agree, but we would need to strengthen this area. Given how advanced Thomas has played so far, I'd think Marti has targeted this position for recruitment if VK does leave. -
Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)
scinnell replied to jonny_wright's topic in Transfer Talk
It's more his public comments which gives the impression that he thinks he is than the club, yet he has been pivotal to two relegations over the last three years. His ego is massive - I can excuse mistakes on the pitch, but I want players who want to be here and give their all for the badge. Not too much to ask for there. -

Faes is our best defender on the pitch, but his attitude stinks and I'm sure he is a massive part of the problem in the dressing room. -
James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

I'm happy with Hamza at Rb should JJ go. Yes he has his limitations, but he is a good championship player and he loves the club - same can be said with Thomas on the other side. We have far bigger priorities should we choose to spend some money this window. -
Charlton 0-1 LCFC, post-match thread
scinnell replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
3 points is all that matters after this week. Hopefully, a team around the playoffs, will make us more attractive going into the final week of the transfer market should we choose to spend some money. We need to back Marti with a few signings. -

What a day to be alive. -
Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)

Highly doubt Forest will spend 10m on Kristiansen, who is 'several more weeks' away from match fitness. -
Kasey McAteer sold to Ipswich - Official
scinnell replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good move this. Still plenty more trimming to do. -
Kasey McAteer (gone to Ipswich, official. 12m.)
scinnell replied to moore_94's topic in Transfer Talk
Even if I have to stomach BCR as our 4th choice winger for the season, 12 million plus add ons for an average player is such a good deal. St and Cm are still the priorities. BCR/Wanya/Thomas can cover our 4th choice average winger. -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
scinnell replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
Hope we stick to our guns with the 32million because this could be an attempt like West Ham to get a player on the cheap. -

Steady on mate 😂 -

scinnell replied to moore_94's topic in Transfer Talk
He works well for the team, but I don't know what else he offers and I can't see any potential to improve his all round game. If we can get 5+million PSR profit, then this is a no brainer and we do not see a need to replace our 4th choice winger. This leaves us with the options below; Mavididi/Monga/Alves Fatawu/Wanya/Evans -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Madders is out for the season, so not anytime soon. -

Corrected it for you mate. Spot on with your final sentence. -

I'd take that money on the table. Massive potential, but only five goal contributions at that level last season. The thing is Top will bank that money, choose not invest in the squad and we will continue to go backwards. -

Only Leicester would sell one of their best players for a few million more than the release clause that expired last week. You couldn't make it up 😂 -
Unfortunately, both better defenders than Okoli at this level. See two years ago for your evidence - nothing to do with performances against after the weekend I never once bleated that Okoli should play this season.
-
I didn't realise he was only signed this summer.
-
Yep, unfortunately I'd add Vesterguard to that at this level.
