We signed Faes that year? but what a waste of a squad place

In my opinion I'd be worried if youngsters other than Nelson and possibly, Monga were in our first staring XI. Yes, we know the unreal ability of Monga and others, but the next stage of their development is to introduce them from the bench and see that they can impact a game before we give them starts. We know that Mavididi and Fatawu are great options at Championship level and I don't think that should change at the beginning of the season, regardless of Monga's potential. You give them starts once they impact games from the bench - I'm sure they will get their chance with the amount of games we will play anyway.

Ricardo (might move to CM), Justin, Thomas, Woyo, Aluko - I'm not sure if we need another body in this position, especially because it might block the path to the first team for Aluko and we have flexibility from other players to play both sides. I'd rather stick to Thomas at left back and see a nucleus of Leicester talent, who want to play for the badge and have the hunger to get the club promoted. Also, if we did sign Toffolo then get promoted, we will have too many good championship full backs that can't make the step up to the Premier League and we will need to sell to buy again.

I'd take Che Adams especially with him having that Leicester connection, but we run the risk of having too many good championship players without the potential to make the step up to the prem e.g Winks, Skipp, Mavididi, Hamza, Thomas etc

The club will lose plenty of money if the book value fixation ends - unfortunately that is modern football. Skipp's value is rock bottom and we will lose millions over this if we choose to sell now.

We are never moving on Skipp with four years left on his contract and high book value.

Exactly this, just get rid and clear his high wages.
