This was the first time i heard Pearson's oft repeated "fine margins" and it was so accurate. We werent great, but it seeemed to me it was a single pass ending short, an unlucky bounce, the number of times in that season i remember feeling that we werent great but we werent terrible, just really unlucky. That changed in January.. and everything that went against us.. suddenly bounced for us, i honeszxtly dont think we changed our intent, effort or intelligence.. the bounce just went our way... and continued to for another 18 months. This season has NOT been like that, excluding Vards being unlucky, we just havent been at the party, I dont finish these games with a feeling of... "we deserved something" Still its all about the next game... a couple of wins, a little luck and some confidence.. who knows.
