  1. Second half against Spurs is all I've got. I still think we would have won that had the injury not killed the game. I'm not looking for a defence of Cooper. We are terrible. But I expected it. We were promoted and our manager left, we then hired a cheap option, it was always going to be a mess. I said all along if we finish 17th then it's job done. I'm not knocking Cooper for taking the job. Anyone in his position would have done it. As always it all comes back to the board with a terrible appointment that seems to have no thought behind it. I'm not getting into discussions about Enzo either. He won promotion with one of the best squad's the second tier has ever seen. Even then we didn't even reach 100 points. He's gone, he wanted to go, so fvck it.
  2. Can say that about any manager Bournmouth missed lots of chances against Chelsea and should have won the game. Is Enzo living off them being shit at finishing?
  3. We went there earlier this year for the first time as it's basically on our doorstep. Great place and great beers, I liked the lager too. Round here we see Thornbridge a lot but I like to see them in pubs when I'm around the Country. I had no idea how big they were until I visited.
  4. For me there's no excuse anyway, we've already played Everton and Palace and only got 2 points from those games. Bournemouth are decent and better than those teams.
  5. I doubt Bournemouth will bring 3k.
  6. I do play digitally when I'm not near my record player, but I play vinyl the most and that is what I have a big collection of. I have a few CD's I still play, but got rid of 90% of my CD's a few years back.
  7. Good pricing that.
  8. Only player that looks bothered.
  9. We lost Maddison, Tielemens and Barnes. People don't realise how good the side was. If we would have sacked Rodgers earlier, stayed up and then got a good manager in the summer then we'd have pushed again for top 6 with the squad we had then. This season's squad is not better and we still rely on a 37 year old to score goals ffs. I am not taking last season and comparing it with this season. Last season we were up against the likes of Rotherham and Plymouth. We had one of the best squads in the Championship ever and rightly got promoted. This squad is "capable".... in the Championship. Cooper is the issue, obviously as he is manager, but some of these players are awful and would not get into any other PL team.
  10. Scoring is the only plus we have at the minute so I'm using it.
  11. Only 7 teams in the league have scored more than us. Top 5 plus Spurs and Brighton.
  12. The quality of games is better now but quality of player is similar as there are good players and awful players in every era. There's enough top flight players now that are not great and the likes of Savage are as good as these players. It probably is a valid thing to say so I do apologise for saying "stupid". You back your point up so that's fair enough.
  13. Arsenal get knocked, I presume from people who haven't been, but it's decent now. Even when they come to our place their away fans are louder than they used to be. I think the whole "Emirates is quiet" is just something that's carried on since they first moved there and it was quiet.
  14. Looks better though. Fast and direct. No boredom. Nothing slow or teams trying to play out and losing the ball time and time again. Every top flight team practically plays the same nowadays. 15/20 years ago Arsenal were sublime, quick, played football on the ground and could counter within a blink of an eye. On perfect pitches that players have nowadays they would be even better. Bergkamp, Henry, Pires, Viera... players like this I grew up on who would not look out of place today. Calling a previous era "shit" is stupid. Everything moves on. In 20 years time people will say the same thing about football today.
  15. I see these threads every three/four months yet the same people moaning still post about games in the PL thread. Nothing changes.
  16. Never seen Old Trafford so empty.
  17. Spurs should be more than 1 up. Look good.
  18. First half was atrocious. Thought it was a bit better at 2-2. edit: Our celebrations on MOTD for 2-2 look good for once though.
  19. We’d have been battered yesterday with Ward in goal. It is nice to have a goalkeeper that has the ability to save us in games. Might be the difference between staying up.
  20. Was okay first half of last season. But since January I think he’s been poor. Seems to give the ball away a lot and also lets opponents glide past him, for instance the second goal yesterday Trossard is basically in front of him and Winks doesn’t even pick him up.

  22. Helps that he was playing in the Championship. He's awful (as is Faes). I want more from a centre half than just being able to pass the ball. He isn't great in the air (considering his height), not particularly strong and slower than a lorry. First goal we conceded at Fulham summed him up. Pushed up, didn't win the ball and then couldn't get back.
  23. "We want to go for it". Fair enough. I'll believe it when I see it. I don't want us to be too open, mind.
  24. I think talking with fans like that is fine, at meetings too etc, but general statements I wouldn't think is the way to go. Could be wrong but that's my take on it.
