What an awful time, having to choose Faes or Vestergaard, good grief.

Rubbish. Always has been.

I expected relegation and have seen nothing to change my mind. Too many players not good enough.

Nobody is worth £150, it's staggering prices. Each person has their own limit though and I'm the same as you. I like them but not for anywhere near £150.

The idea of reunions are awful because I never want to see something I like to make a fool of themselves. So to speak. When things are killed off at their peak just leave it that way. I would hate, say, The Smiths or The Jam to get back together and thankfully they never will. Though I don't actually listen to The Smiths as much as I once did. edit: I have edited my original post as I said "reunions are awful" which is not true per say as I am a big Blur fan and that's worked well.

But before we won the PL attendances were still poor in the League Cup. Under Pearson we lost to Shrewsbury (14-15) and Burton (12-13) and both matches had attendances of less than 10k. In 13-14 we had a good cup run but our attendance against Derby was less than 15k. Against Derby ffs. It improved as we played PL teams - Fulham (17k) and Manchester City (31k) - so to me it's all about the opposition. Maybe people don't want to watch us against lower league opposition. League Cup is tough as it's always midweek and then you've got the ticket prices too which aren't always great. Should be a tenner max, especially against lower league teams. But compare us to, say, Everton. Goodison Park was packed out midweek against Doncaster Rovers (37k). I think there are just levels to support and our support is okay but not great.

Rubbish though isn't it. They're the strongest teams in this competition and are kept apart. As good as it is seeing third and fourth tier clubs playing top flight clubs, we will be in a position where the last 4 teams in the competition are just going to be the top 4.

Also, we are also a newly promoted team with a manager that walked out and now have a new manager that has inherited this squad. Most teams in our position would be the same.

And when we lose people will say it's because we put a second team out. Tonight is a good opportunity for our first win of the season, and hopefully the start of a cup run. If the players need confidence then tonight's game can give them that.

The mixed concourse was great. Fulham are probably the least offensive fans around. That said, their fans in our stand did come across as if they were there for a day out. I didn't think our end was too bad. I was right near the front and was surprised to see everyone around me stood.

The point doesn't really stand though.
