Or like the following season when the same thing happened. Funny how nobody calls 16/17 out for the same thing. Chelsea won the league despite not winning at Anfield, White Hart Lane, Old Trafford or the Emirates.

Blackburn (H) Sat 1 Nov @12:30, pre-match

Even with how bad we are, and how negative I am about it all, we surely can’t lose this. Blackburn are shocking. We can’t afford to lose this either. -
Squad also has good players. Teams above us don’t have some of the players we can choose from at this level. We’re underachieving.
-
And also then keep getting selected by the manager regardless. I’m sick of all of it, manager included.

Someone else telling me to not expect success

Yet Maresca got us promoted under this regime? King Power Out too but you talk as if it’s impossible for us to have a good manager.
-
Hopefully Vestergaard and Okoli will be gone too.
-
As I said last week, he’s no better than Faes.
-
Some of the players can be shit and the manager can be shit too. It is possible. He’s a mid table manager. Done nothing in his career to suggest otherwise.
-
Last time we were in this division we got promoted under a newly appointed manager. Why didn't we fail back then if the culture is why we're failing?
-
Just about to post the same thing! Great to see.

Maybe strange was the wrong word but he initially invested a lot and then pulled it all after two decent seasons (although they should have gone up with what they invested). I don't know all the ins and outs about who he has got rid of, or not, from the board/staff etc. It is time people like this are stopped from buying clubs but how can they considering all he invented initially?
-
Such a strange situation. He threw so much at them when he first got there. Made the play offs twice but couldn't get any further and then investment stopped.

Also consider those 4 wins were against 2 promoted teams, a Sheffield Wednesday B team and Swansea. -
Niether will Charlton and Stoke but you included them. The teams you mentioned are currently above us, as are Hull and QPR which is why I brought them into it.
-
Hull appointed a new manager in the summer, have had a transfer embargo, and are above us. QPR's new manager replaced our manager and they're above us.
-
Can't agree as I think he looks an absolute bomb scare. Shame we are stuck with Faes and Vestergaard because the manager just doesn't want to drop them and/or give Nelson a go.
-
Tbf Faes didn't start the season, Okoli did. But he looked as bad, if not worse. We've needed new centre backs for ages. A decent season last time in the Championship totally swung some people again. I can't even bring myself to chant either of their name.
-
Ipswich are the most surprising out of every team I think and it's interesting to see if McKenna can turn it around. Back to promotions is always an unbelievable achievement but the second promotion sort of rides of the first promotion. He is now experiencing defeats/loss of form which is always the most testing of a manager. But lets not forget they did concede a lot when they got promoted previously, and often outscored opposition.
-
It's about time. They've been terrible for ages without protest. They've been charged silly money for years without protest. Good to see them actively protesting now but it's a bit late (although better than never).
-
People acting as if we haven't got a good selection of players to pick from. Ricardo, Winks and Fatawu all get into any other squad for starters. I'm not having my expectations changed. I'm not happy that we have already failed to beat Wrexham and Portsmouth, both at home. We have won 1 game in 7 with a difficult game coming on Saturday. No wonder staff and players get let off by our fanbase so much.
-
Get on with it man. If you're a decent player then you're gonna get targeted. Not the first and won't be the last.
-
Sorry but I don't rate him. I always feel nervous whenever he's on the ball, or if it goes back to him. Even yesterday there was one time he seemed to mishandle the ball and it went out for a corner (other end of the ground from the away end so it was difficult to see) and the one where the ball was headed back to him. Weird decisions every game.
-
I have a personal dislike of both of them too so it's okay I still think at this level they are better than a lot of opposition centre backs (although I do want to see Nelson starting for us instead). Over the course of a season Maresca got performances from them, albeit I do agree the end of the season it dropped off (and for a lot of other players too). Still a joke we then gave Vestergaard a new deal.
-
If we have a “truck load of shit players” then what do the opposition have? Do Hull have a better squad than us? Preston? No. Portsmouth, Wrexham, Oxford? No. He’s still working with a good selection of players. Ricardo, Winks, Fatawu, Monga get into any other team. I have never liked Faes or Vestergaard but, at this level, they get into the other 23 teams too. I’m fed up of people defending this manager, he should be getting much more out of this squad, and should actually act on his words. “Non stop attacking football” he said we would play…. Where is this?? He keeps picking the same players every week regardless. I expect to have more than 2 points from Wrexham H and Portsmouth H. Our only wins of the season have been against 2 promoted teams, a Sheffield Wednesday B team and Swansea. It is not good enough. He is not good enough. Managers have worked with much worse and got much more.
