  1. Actually I've signed up to have it done on Saturday and I've decided to go for LASEK! Good news that it (eventually) all worked out... if you have any tips then send them this way
  2. Probably some of the nicest fans I've ever met tbf
  3. I'd hate to see what they find during the expansion
  4. How does the weather affect the Meth?
  5. Did you have this done in the end? If so, how did it go? I'm considering having this done soon...
  6. Starting a collection is known to calm people and make them less angry in life. I mean... just saying... don't completely rule it out for yourself...
  7. Actually, I believe the opposite. As a fan, Pearson really frustrated me because he didn't give anything away - he was massively defensive when questioned and I found him frustrating. However, I recognised that with Pearson it wasn't about the fans or the radio or the media - all he cared about was assembling, mobilising and protecting a group of players who would fight for each other. With Pearson you just got the sense he lived and died by his beliefs, whether you agreed with them or not, and over time this was evident to see on the pitch. As a fan I actually find Rogers more accessible - he gives interviews and they're often quite insightful. But I just can't help but get the feeling that Roger's is only half hearted, he's a career man and when he needs to protect his own skin he'll throw his own player(s) under a bus. There's not a chance in hell Pearson would do that. So the love for Pearson isn't to do with personality - it's to do with values and principles IMO.
  8. On his left foot as well!
  9. Not a player, but one of weirdest things has to be big Nige strangling James McArthur
  10. I'm just about to trial Nalmefene. It's a medicine which allows you to still drink alcohol but reduces the pleasure you get from it. Most people lose interest in drinking completely once they start to take it. There are side effects however and that all needs to be weighed up. I will let you know how it goes - it could be an option
  11. That really was THE game when it all became real. Still gives me tingles...
  12. Anyone got any ideas how to prevent Squirrels getting to/eating food from bird feeders? My 'squirrel-proof' nut feeders are hanging 6 feet from the branch on piano wire covered in vaseline and the nuts themselves are covered in cayanne pepper but EVEN STILL the little sh*ts dive bomb from the tree and manage to grip onto the feeder, open it and happily eat the nuts
  13. Fulop was different class in that period. Such a shame Sunderland wouldn't let us have him permanently
  14. Depressingly, Huddersfield reminded me a lot of Leicester in that game
  15. Have you tried calling HMRC? I've found them surprisingly helpful when I've had to call in the past
  16. I don't actually disagree - he is right and the club do have the ability to move whoever they want. It's more the attitude that I am making a point about. Personally I don't think it's the right approach.
  17. It's this kind of attitude that's really going to damage the credibility of this cause.
  18. I currently sit in L with members of my family around me and I talk to most of the people in the few rows above and below me... it's part of why I look forward to going (let's be honest, it's not because of the football at the minute). I'd find being asked to move with the compensation of a 'better' seat, a tour or vouchers an insult. Maybe other people wouldn't and that's fine. But on the whole I personally think that line of thinking is naive. I'm not saying this to be difficult. I think the idea of a singing section in a stadium is a great idea - but you need to be able to look at this objectively from all sides and come up with a proposal with merit. This includes thinking through your proposal from the perspective of ALL supporters and also from the perspective of the club (e.g. who would lose revenue on these 'better' seats or have to pay for the vouchers/tours or risk losing renewals completely with this approach). That's why to me it's a no brainer that this should be in the expanded stadium. On the face of it that seems to work for all parties involved - I can't really think of a downside from anyone's perspective.
  19. More than 75% will be general admission
  20. Where did you get this information from? The extension is being built on the East Stand and so I find this hard to believe
  21. That may be your opinion but I'm sure it's not the opinion of everyone who will be turfed out of their seat (which they may have been in for 20 seasons!)
  22. Forcing people to move sounds like a pretty crap idea... can't this be tied in with the stadium expansion, where the seats are effectively unassigned anyway?
