  1. The only excitement we have left this season is Wagatha-gate
  2. It's a weird time to be alive. The Conservatives announcing more, almost socialist measures, just like they did through the pandemic. They must hate it deep down. I'm sure it's just because they don't want the economy to collapse on their watch and also because there's an election in a couple of years but the world is just a strange place right now. Politics is just a blurred mess.
  3. I am going to Sao Paolo for work related stuff in September and I've booked 3 weeks off when I'm there. My intention is to leave Brazil and go to Uruguay, Argentina and Chile simply because what I've read has said they're probably safer to explore on your own. I have almost zero knowledge of this part of the world so any advice would be appreciated!!
  4. Sounded good... shame it took another club to play it first for the club to finally realise it would go down well
  5. Pretty good atmosphere in L1 - sounded louder than the away fans
  6. You seem to be missing the point... how many of those other fines were responsible for putting this into place, came up with the laws on it and preached that it must be followed?
  7. I took out multi-car insurance for the first time this year (Admiral) and it certainly saved me money. The guy asked me about house insurance too so I threw it in for fun, not expecting much, and that came to about 50% of the price of comparison websites. You don't have to end anything early, they just gave me a total price and then each time a policy lapsed with the old provider it would just start with Admiral and you pay pro rata for that policy to get it all in sync. I saved hundreds all in. Definitely worth checking out if you have a few things to insure each year
  8. Bed at 1am and up at 8am. I really want to shift that backwards as I love the early morning and I'd ideally like to be awake at 6am. Hard habit to break though
  9. +1 for Monzo. They use the interbank exchange rate and no fees. Also you can withdraw Euros (or whatever currency) from the cash machine and the same applies - no fees/good rate. Just make sure when you're abroad you ask to be charged in the local currency - some card machines try to convert it themselves and take their cut! They also have other benefits like clearing your wages a day earlier than other banks and their app is just generally good at showing you where you're spending money. You can also hide money in 'pots' so if you don't want a certain bill to come out then move it into a pot temporarily.
  10. Breezed through the other end. They scanned our QR codes, the light went green and we were off
  11. Yep, that's it. You download your covid pass and it includes your entry for recovery. I uploaded it yesterday as part of the Spanish Locator form and it was accepted so I now have a (different) QR to enter Spain
  12. It depends where you're going really. Spain is fairly straightforward and has a couple of options for unvaccinated people I'm going on holiday tomorrow using the recovery QR so I'll let you know how it goes!
  13. He won't test positive in 2 weeks. Use the 24 hour turnaround PCR as a diagnosis test rather than proof of recovery and you'll be fine EDIT: Ignore me - I just read the rules for Malta and I can see negative tests aren't accepted
  14. Yeah his holding game has proven really useful at times recently - he probably deserves a bit more credit for this
  15. VAR is far from perfect but at least the decisions are debatable at worst. Sod going back to the day when you concede to a hand ball or score a perfectly good goal only for the linesman to incorrectly flag offside. I think it's too easy to forget those days...
  16. I've just booked Lanzarote for next week. Not somewhere I've been and it was impromptu based solely on it being the hottest place next week within a sensible flight time. Staying in Puerto del Carmen if anyone has any recommendations / things to avoid...
  17. I thought you were going to say herd immunity. Took a cheeky plot twist
  18. The whole European ultras thing with all the banners and flags and coordination is actually pretty cringey
  19. Thank you - that's clearly where I went wrong. That, and the fact I didn't even study the letters properly and each time I thought I had it, and each time it didn't turn green. Don't get complacent, study all the possible options and if necessary use the life strategically. Lesson learnt!
  20. The European games have been a nightmare - they've been letting anyone (rather than just season ticket holders) into L, which really isn't helping the situation. Some right morons in there this season
  21. OK I'll admit it - first time I've looked up the word before using my final guess. It just could have been so many things for the final letter. Yes I'm a filthy cheat.
  22. Walsall away in the snow in the late 2000's. As well as the spontaneous snowball fights there were loads of songs for Walsall's keeper Clayton Ince, who's goal was about a metre in front of the away fans. Leicester had comfortably won the game by the point we started singing 'Incey, Incey shake that ass' to which he happily obliged and started shaking his booty. I think the songs soon changed to 'sign him up'
  23. I haven't watched the video, I was talking generally
  24. He talks more sense than most people tbf
  25. The irony of that final comment - it is what every single Arsenal fan said the season we won the league
