  1. Where did that come from? There's more evidence to suggest others were greater instigators of episodes of unrest than KS.
  2. It's what you do when you see a mate in distress, especially when you need that mate to recover in time for the World Cup in a couple of weeks. As far as the game is concerned, would have been interesting to see Arteta do what Maresca did with Chelsea in the Club World final and continue pressing for a second (and indeed, third) goal. Instead, he sought to park the bus and ended up paying the price. Sadly, though, gooners still look best bets to win the PL next season.. 😟
  3. It's incredible how many of our old boys can put Seagrave behind them so quickly..
  4. Sunderland are a far bigger club than Hull, who couldn't even shift their full ticket allocation yesterday. There isn't a hope of the tigers being able to attract the likes of Xhaka or Brobbey.
  5. It'd be no different to signing a known druggie. Was going to suggest Mykhailo Mudryk as the first signing, but he's still got two years to serve of his ban.
  6. If so, hantavirus would be too good for him..
  7. You obviously didn't see his autobiography, in which MON makes NO mention whatsoever of his time as manager of Forest. He does, though, mention his talks with Vichai about a return to City in 2015. But he eventually decided to stay with Ireland, whom he took to the Euros the year afterwards. That was a real sliding doors moment for us, as it allowed Ranieri to slide into the club.
  8. Richard Osman. Susie Dent. Michael Sheen. Stephen Graham. Hannah Spencer.
  9. Very unfair on Jedward. They did OK when they took part in Eurovision.
  10. Both Van Dijk and Salah are in serious decline. Slot needs to replace both if he wants to avoid running out of credit with the Liverpool fanbase.
  11. The same Semenyo who turned out for Newport in THAT FA Cup tie.
  12. The same Fofana whose sale saved us from potential liquidation? Although that wasn't how it was spun to us by Rodgers and Rudkin at the time.
  13. In most SPL seasons, the league is won (usually by Celtic these days) long before the final day. This season, Celtic played twice away at Hearts during the regular season. So it was their turn to play at home in the final weeks.
  14. It's a documentary that could have come out five years ago. Most Foxes forget how badly Vardy struggled during his first season with us. Only Pearson's perseverance with him rescued his career, both then and again in 2014-15 when he went a full SIX MONTHS without scoring. Vardy is a strong character who needs careful management. Sadly, under the current regime at City, he wasn't always given that.
  15. The winter World Cup really shafted us. We won 4 out of 5 games before that (and Danny Ward kept 4 clean sheets! 😯) This gave BR a stay of execution on his ridiculously expensive contract, awarded him by Rudkin in late 2019 to keep him from going to Arsenal or Spurs.
  16. Seriously doubt that, given the way the Greek gangster treated MON when he and Roy Keane had a brief spell in charge there. Vichai tried to sign him a couple of times, before and after St Nigel's second coming, but was knocked back on both occasions. His legend status with us remains undimmed. No reason for him to risk tarnishing it now.
  17. Too right.. 36 years without a trophy for them now. Can only see that run extending in the years ahead. Meanwhile we're the only Midlands side to have won the grand slam of domestic trophies this century (not that it'll stop Salford or Stevenage stuffing us next season, mind..).
  18. More like a Temu Hamza..
  19. Rodgers tried to pretend the players threw him under the bus that day, when it was actually the other way round. As Celtic found later on, he'll take responsibility for nothing..
  20. Rudkin's decision to give N'Golo a buyout clause in his contract - thus enabling Chelsea to sign him - was the first of many acts of sabotage. We could have had a real crack at the Champions League in 16-17.
  21. Where did you get this figure from? And if it turns out to be true, wonder who'd have drawn up the contract? No wonder Rudkin is a toxic, discredited figure whom no manager or player of any quality will touch with a barge pole.
  22. It's a very doable target...if Mr Di Marco manages to reverse the 6-point deduction..
  23. Ermm.. no we haven't. Even during the golden age of Martin O'Neill, there were plenty of games where we struggled (and often failed) to sell our allocations for away games. More recently, our turnout for a cup quarter-final (Newcastle, League Cup 2023) barely made four figures. And there have been several games this season, especially in midweek, where swathes of empty seats have been in evidence on our travels.
  24. But have they? They failed to beat a Pompey side who were down to 10 men for over 70 minutes today. Without the Rudkin tax and the donation of 3 points in Cifuentes' farewell game, they'd already be terminally adrift of us.
