  1. Careful.. there are folk on here who STILL swallow the club's insistence that it's a "world-class" facility that inspires players of quality to give their best for Leicester City FC. In reality, it's a Rudkin vanity project, incurring debts which won't be repaid for decades.
  2. At least there was some sort of excuse for that. There were playoffs the following week and players didn't want to risk injury for them.
  3. Yes, and I was one of them. Unlike many, I stayed until the final whistle, then left. Some of those who went appreciated the hollow gesture from the players (just as some did after recent bad home defeats). Most recognised it for what it was, though.
  4. Nope, that was Leeds. Although we did have a caretaker in charge that night. At least we created some decent chances vs Wolves. Apart from a late shot from Daka, which Pickford saved with ease, we created nothing whatsoever today.
  5. And within seconds, some away fans started the "Jamie Vardy's magic" chant.. Needless to say, there was zero evidence of that today. Starting him every week at his age is insane enough. But giving him the armband too??
  6. They never showed any in the game, though. So why expect them to do so afterwards?
  7. He's working the ticket, just as Rodgers was two seasons ago. But he's been knifed by those who wouldn't give him any meaningful amount to spend in this transfer window. Not even Pep or Ancelotti could do anything with this weak squad. Expect maximum toxicity when Arsenal dish out a hiding in two weeks' time.
  8. Best bet is to go across Stanley Park and drink in one of the pubs near Anfield.
  9. Ryan Yates, who started in the Bournemouth game, is the Forest equivalent of Hamza Choudhury. As such, he is far more limited than Okazaki or even Simpson were for us.
  10. So how come Calafiori escaped a second yellow against us at the Emirates? Gooners are remarkably silent about the numerous bad calls that go their way.
  11. The club should respond by giving MUFC the bare minimum of tickets for the league game (ie 1600, half the usual allocation).
  12. You literally have zero evidence to back that up. Seagrave might be useful as a luxury health resort, but to date its impact in terms of delivering improvements in team results and player fitness has been very limited.
  13. Cooper saw his side hammered twice by a Manyoo side its current manager has called among the worst in its history. Even Wolves and Ipswich have taken points from them. Our club has made many grievous errors over recent seasons, but replacing Cooper with RVN wasn't one of them.
  14. Seen this phrase on a number of threads. It's an achievement our club loves to proclaim at every opportunity. But is it true? Has Seagrave made the likes of Danny Ward or Wilfred Ndidi - who have been with us throughout the four years of its existence - better players? Has it improved the quality of any of the teams that use it? The answer to both questions is a resounding NO. Maybe the facility will deliver real benefits in time. Right now, though, it just seems like an expensive Rudkin vanity project.
  15. Except it was the players (and the captain in particular) who forced Cooper out. Vardy does have a history of throwing managers under a bus - Ranieri and Puel being notable examples. His close relationship with both Rudkin and Aiyawatt is not doing the club any favours.
  16. SOME players had pay cuts in their contracts, which took effect after relegation. Others didn't. This meant certain squad players last season were among the highest-paid in Championship history. In other news, Calvin Bassey, who spent five years in our academy before being freed by Rudkin in 2020, easily outshone our two central defenders, who cost £30 million between them.
  17. This the same Fulham that charges up to £100 for match tickets? The same Fulham that refuses to listen to fans complaining about such high ticket prices? The same Fulham that took FOUR YEARS to rebuild a stand? And the same Fulham that has won precisely ZERO major trophies in its entire history? Just because our owners are messing up doesn't mean others are all sweetness and light..
  18. There are a lot worse than him. At least he's never sought money from abroad - whether from states or individuals - unlike many others (from several parties) who spring to mind. And he certainly hasn't used public funds to help a mistress start up a business.. PS Why WERE Tories asking SK about issues in towns 200 miles away on which he had zero influence whatsoever? Seems like a grubby form of dog-whistling..
  19. With all the comforts that Seagrave has to offer? Surely not.. Seriously, though, there's a lot of talk about "attitude issues" (often turning up late for training, not making much effort when he's there, and so on), which may help to explain why Cannon is being moved on. Hope the proceeds of the sale will be put to good use in the next two weeks..
  20. The American firm that took the blues out of the Championship..but in a downwards direction..
  21. Ermm.. last time I looked, the Glazers were still there. They just sold a minority stake to Jim Radcliffe and carried on fleecing the club as before, as those of us paying £45 for a League Cup ticket at Old Trafford know only too well.
  22. Really? Must have missed the announcement that Man City had been cleared of all charges against them..
  23. Aiyawatt CAN be ruthless when he wishes to be - as both Claude Puel and Steve Cooper can testify. It depends on whom he chooses to listen to. By the way, calling for the owner's head during the week of his dad's inquest is not something most of our fanbase outside here are likely to consider.
  24. Out of interest, is there any current PL owner (other than Liverpool's, perhaps?) whom folk on here would genuinely swap King Power for?
  25. Sorry, but anyone who thinks like this is not a true Fox. There is no excuse whatsoever to support any scenario in which the trees finish above us. A successful Forest - especially in current circumstances - is not good news for football in general or Leicester City in particular. During the Clough years, much of the increase to their fanbase within the East Midlands came at the direct expense of Derby and ourselves. There's every reason to fear the same would happen in the years ahead, especially if their stadium expansion plans actually became reality. So this is all the more reason for us to look towards putting our own house in order ASAP, so we can compete with them again and knock them back off their perch.
