I was quite interested when I heard the bush explorer trial featured Kelly Brook.

Was talking about this with my mate, whose son had hopes of making the England Olympic swimming team a few years ago, but he decided he was always going to just miss out, so he concentrated on his studies instead. He'll qualify as a medical doctor soon, and he enjoys playing rugby for fun. He said when he was younger he'd turn up for swimming events and if Peaty was there he knew first place was out of the question. Definitely made the right choice.

Surrounded by clappers, I booed in isolation as the players came by. Some of the clappers turned on me. They had no answer when I asked if they were happy with what we've seen, but instead they made it about me..."not a real fan", "shouldn't be booing" etc. Maybe they're reluctant to show what they're truly feeling, but I think they're just strangely oblivious to the unwavering direction the club has been taking because we won the league once. They might try to intimidate me, but I'll boo whenever I feel it is justified. You don't bring about change by saying nothing.

As they walked by my section at the end I booed unashamedly, and was I surrounded by people clapping, a few of who turned their attention on me. They, of course, had no sensible answer when I asked if they were happy with the team's performance, just personal abuse.

The golden days are over. We are now firmly established as a lower/mid table Championship club, and fans are in limbo wondering just how low we can go under these proven incompetents. Something fundamental has to change, and soon.
