  1. Nearly 30 mins in and 2 shots. Football in the Prem is so broken.
  2. We have so many contacts at Charlotte. Wonder if they suggested Stengs for a laugh to see if Rudkin falls for it
  3. Let's hope not, we need wages to drop, not be making out the players are victims in a desperate attempt to allow our club to plunge us further in to debt.
  4. Birmingham are not of a similar standard and we were lucky to win. It 100% makes sense.
  5. He's a massive knob, I might hate this guy more than Brendan. But Charlton can feel hard done to. Was never a foul to be fair haha. We are good at diving, ill give us that
  6. Bases on the 3 performances so far you'd expect a long night and a draw at best Hope to see more academy involvement in the team, class seeing us play so many young players
  7. Literally every league is about bagging 3 points isn't it?
  8. That was grim. Aside from Fatwau producing Premier League class, we were bested by a bottom half team. Marti ending the game defensively again in a minor red flag. Not seeing much to be positive about aside from use of academy lads.
  9. Yep. There's absolutely no space for Premier League clubs to be crying about it as well. Every single club in this division can sign 98% of available/eligible players in the world. Everyone has access to the internet and millions to spend on building a recruitment network. The reason this division is becoming more competitive is that realistically someone like Brighton could sign one of Lyon or Juventus' best players. Which would have been unthinkable 10 years ago. Good players will always move to better teams. Your club is only as good as the staff working for it. The only real difference is that PSR has lowered the margin of error for clubs due to forcing amortisation over the length of a contract, if the amortisation was optional then clubs would have far greater control.
  10. You could be right mate, they are very effective under McKenna. I think a lot is owed to the fact that McKenna likes to use all subs in an effort to keep maximum intensity throughout a game. They grind teams down and score so many late goals due to having fresh forwards that can come on and take on fatigued defences. You would expect Kasey to be one of these impact subs. I'd be feeling a lot more confident if I thought that we had the ability to replace the outgoing players with better players.
  11. Despite my wanting to sell him. As a player I like his work ethic and he seems like a top boy. I just don't think he has the ability needed to make the impact on games we need. We have 3 players and one is waiting to go palace. The other 2 are Monga and Fatawu. While we insist on playing a derivation of pep ball that is cautious passing and relying on isolated players to create something out of nothing we badly need more people that can make something out nothing.
  12. Haha no need to apologise, disagreement on subjective things is what makes the game interesting to talk about (well most of the time anyway ) What do you think he'll bring to the team that they have lost in Hutchinson?
  13. I'd feel much more confident of keeping pace with Ipswich if Kasey is in their squad rather than ours haha
  14. Oh my god please take him. Massively overrated due to a purple patch. Still not sure where his best position is. He's not a winger, he's not a striker, he's not a midfielder. If someone is willing to part with actual money it's a no brainer.
  15. Haha it's the opposite for me, I thought he looked gash there, it exposed his massive lack of pace. Can tell there's a defender in there, but sticking him out wide where he's going to face quick attackers 1 on 1 made him look worse than he was.
  16. People must have been watching a different Mavidi to me. Do not understand where these calls are coming from
  17. Haha yep, all clubs have it to be fair. My Newcastle supporting mate has spent the last year or two telling me how amazing Isak is. Since the Liverpool story started developing, it's been "he's been a bit off form", "he does seem a bit injury prone"
  18. Haha I though it sounded a bit odd as well. I imagined it was basically a shortened down and slightly edited version of of the pre-prepared presentation he had during his interview
  19. More bitter on show here than a flat roof working men's club!
  20. Assuming Rudders takes a well deserved long weekend off after securing the deal, it'll give him a week to get in the players we need that will provide goals and assists.
  21. At least we know the club will get the manager at least 3 quality players added to the squad to make up for this.
  22. Well it does as the rules mean the refs stop that happening before the free kick. If a player is dumb enough to move as the kicks being taken then that's on them. Which is why its absurd he did it considering hes known the rule for at least 4 years.
  23. The Palace one is incredibly clear cut and has been a rule for 4/5 years now. There's no excuse to get caught out by it. It also stops the ridiculous pushing and antics that you used to see in the walls. For me it's one of the few rules that has been brought in recently and made an improvement.
  24. I still don't know how Forest didnt get a pen first half. It was just as clear as the Tarkowski handball.
  25. Why should the ref give a corner if he thinks it's a pen?
