Can't say I agree that's a case of making your own luck Results have been very disappointing, but I think if people weren't so unbelievably depressed and downbeat about the club, they'd probably look at it more pragmatically and accept that Rowett has been very unlucky not to pick up considerably more points than we have. I suppose it's the way it goes when you walk into a club that's on a massive downward trend and comfortably the best player then goes on to miss 75% of the games and the 2nd best player forgets how to shoot.

You can tell he played well as I don't think I've read any mention of that free kick he pumped out of play. If winks did that, it'd have been mentioned about 100 times Absolute pleasure watching a defender that can first and foremost defend. More of that kind of player please. If we can get a decent fee then i'd sell him. Purely based on the fact we need money and he's unfortunately really struggled with injury and we don't need to be taking that kind of risk on players. Would be more than happy to see him thrive elsewhere though.

Unfortunately, the leadership speaking also makes things worse as they're out of their depth. They don't take a plan, they don't know how to arrest this. They'll throw a few random darts and hope for the best.

I think getting first team football at league one level and doing well will naturally get interest from other clubs. Obviously it'd rely on us 1) Actually giving the players consistent game time and 2) accepting that our role is basically a feeder club. If you can show that you'll give players a chance to develop and will happily sell them should the right offer come in then in theory it would be an excellent stepping stone for talented 17-19 year olds. Unfortunately, regardless of the league or how we're doing in the league, there always seems to be an excuse to favour experience. Even when that experience often times let's us down anyway.
