What are you talking about you nutter? I've said he plays across LW AM and RW and that Soumare is stronger than him
-
Think he's capable of playing both isn't he. Certainly seem him play for our u21s/18s out wide and as an AM. I'd fancy if you put Alves in there, you'd soon appreciate Soumare's physicality, even if he does only use it about 5% of the time
-
Which of our high flying wide men do you think he looks miles off? Ayew? BDCR? Mav?

He rated him so badly that he went and signed Winks-lite for £20m -
Probably because he knew his golden goose was about to stop laying eggs

The quality and standard of the entire league is undoubtedly at its highest. Entertainment wise though it's dipped massively. The obsession with maintaining possession and prioritising not conceding over scoring, by most teams has led the football at the top becoming incredibly stale.

Anyone know why it's on at 7pm?

Ideally we'd have 3 CMs in there and actually use that as a base to 1) Stop teams running through us for fun. 2) use it to push teams back. We currently play a 4 4 2 in effect, with Bilal up with Vardy. Watching us play a 6 3 1 formation v West Ham and still get caught out at the back suggests to me that playing a back 5 with 1 defensive minded midfielder would just be an absolute slaughter.

5 1 4 is a new one on me. Maybe with Kante or 19/20 Wilf but I think that's asking a bit much of him

Bloody hell, the FA and FIFA are desperate to absolutely destroy their most popular competitions

Rodger’s vs the board (chicken vs egg)

There's a special hatred in my heart that I will always hold for that man I have a totally different perspective, he's the manager that took us from our strongest position, certainly in my lifetime, and through sheer mismanagement he has not only left the club in a weakened state, but one that will take a hell of a long time to recover from. All whilst taking tens of millions from the club and having a smug little smirk on his face. Awful man, awful lips, awful clap. -
I fully agree with you, but we've literally done the bolded bit for the last 12 games and save for a Spurs team that gifted us a win, exactly the same thing has happened almost every time. If he hasn't been sacked yet then I don't see why they'd do it now when it's just the same evidence being presented.

I don't see how it would make any difference?

Such a sleaze ball, ultimate charmer. Knows exactly what to say and do to get people to love him. Doesn't care who or what he destroys to get what he wants. Some of his greatest lies compiled. -
Solid Glasto line up

Villa are spending more on wages than they are earning aren't they? I would be looking at them more as a ticking time bomb rather than a club that's being well ran right now.

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

We should be throwing a pathway at this lad to play first team football next season, as well as a fair release clause in a contract. Based on his potential, it's likely that he's too good to be tied to us long term, but he could be a real asset for us next season in the Championship. If we offer him first team football and a fair release clause of 20-25m + sell on clause. Make it a no brainer to sign on with us, knowing that he won't be trapped if he does perform to the expected standards. If we lose this lad and only get a couple of million for him it'll be a real kick in the nads. Ryan bertrand got paid £8m by us to contribute nothing. Surely we can risk chucking a million or two at someone with massive potential and upside. -

What impresses me is how well rounded he is as well. He can score, he's got great vision and can pick out a key pass, he can take a man on. Pretty much everything you want from a winger -
6-1 Chelsea, we'll get an inevitable gift from Enzo's style to ensure we have at least one candidate for the goal of the month competition.
