If Carslberg did debuts...

Have Southampton got their own Danny Ward?
-
No. That doesn't need any work. It needs screwing up, setting on fire and stamping on.
-
I've never been to the North pole but I know it's cold
-
I can give you at least three - Rudkin, Rodgers, Congerton, since they were the clowns that brought them with the fond hope of improving a Premier League team that was chasing Champion's League football.
-
Surely James will have better offers in the summer. Why would he want to stay here?
-
Original post who cares how many corners we or the opposition have , read to me as if, in any game, conceding corners was irrelevant. It isn't. If you are talking just about this game, strictly speaking it doesn't matter because we got away with it, but it does suggest a bit of a crappy shithouse performance, which is a problem for us because crappy performances will tend to end in crappy results.
-
0-10 on corners does tend to suggest one-way traffic and conceding a lot of potentially dangerous set pieces, so yeah.

Lol, Derby 2-3 from 2-0 up

My Scottish LCFC XI, cus, well... I'm a bit bored: 1. Alan Young (cus he once went in goal V Shrewsbury and he's got to be better than Rab Douglas) 2.Ali Mauchlen 3.Bobby Smith 4.Kevin MacDonald 5.Frank McLintock 6.Mickey Galloway 7.Gary McAllister 8.David Speedie 9.Paul Dickov 10.Ooh Tommy Wright 11.Ian Wilson

Interesting. So how exactly do you go about getting a tune out of Soumare?
-
Also known as 'not giving a toss.'
-
That is true. The Rodgers/Congerton axis of evil is especially culpable and then compounded by Cooper's cameo clown show, However, those managers are no longer here, but there is a particularly foul fart that continues to stink out the corridors of KP towers who, as director of football, oversees the whole thing and this is his thread, so...
-
I doubt it, but in hindsight, we should have kept Rodgers just so that he had the relegation that he had fashioned on his CV.
-
They haven't rolled the dice. That would suggest our decline was down to chance. It wasn't bad luck that made us sign Daka, Soumare, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Faes, Ward, Krtistiansen, Souttar, Ayew, Coady, Skipp etc etc etc It wasn't misfortune that made us put mediocre players on huge Rudkin contracts.

The January Transfer Window …..Dos the major surgery start?

They didn't. Skipp and Ayew were Cooper's. Thanks Steve! -

That's the "too many". What about the not enough? Not enough creativity Not enough pace And no strikers whatsoever! -
It isn't. I just don't have the energy to go through everything that is wrong about it. Would take me all day.
-
Brilliant. Instead of reflecting on how he got there, he is actually proud of his incompetence.
-
True, but perhaps it would be more interesting to say how many goals have we scored whilst Daka had been on the pitch without scoring himself? Then that excuse kind of evaporates.
-
Does anyone know the record for the number of games a centre-forward has gone without scoring? Daka must be in world record territory now. The next best I can find is Diego Forlan with 26 consecutive blanks.
-
Skipp played for Cooper at England U-17/18 age groups. Ayew played under him at Swansea. It is my strong belief that they were Cooper picks along with Reid as part of his oft stated fixation on premier league experienced plodders.

So you think that we are getting the maximum we can from these players then? Come on. Almost all have literally proven that they can play better including those you have cited that have won this division before. You don't think that the defence for instance could be organised r? That tactically we could be better offensively and above all that these players can be motivated? Just on your point about Fatawu, football is littered with stories of maturing hot heads.
-
The mood was equally sour in 2023 pre Enzo and Faes among others wanted out then too.
-
I would say that individually almost all of our players walk into any other Championship squad, but collectively we are not a team. The defence is not a unit and disorganised. Offensively we are a tepid, slow blunt instrument. We have been sussed and we are easy to play against. I've made the point before but this squad consists of players with years of Premier League experience, FA Cup winners, former Championship title winners and internationals. I'm just not having it that we have to be this bad. We are underperforming massively. edit - I should add that many of them look disinterested and lazy but again that is something that the manager needs to address. The thing that impressed me most about Enzo was not the football but the fact that he took a squad equally disinterested and toxic and galvanised it so quickly,
