  1. Not going to judge too much on that. Sterling is shot at this level and the good things he did were against him 1 on 1 defending. In terms of individual qualities, early signs are he's a decent athlete but lacking a bit of poise in possession.
  2. I can't see it, because we just won't create enough or be able to sustain attacks, but we definitely look more solid as a unit with Ndidi and Okoli in there.
  3. The only player who would make a difference in that regard would be Fatawu. At least if you're sticking 11 behind the ball and going long, he can give you the chance to win some scraps with his pace.
  4. JJ achilles again?
  5. You can criticise some of the messaging, and I agree that some of it isn't in the best taste, but the fact that the ball is rolling is a positive in itself. The biggest risk to this movement would be a lack of follow up, leaving this as a one and done. The messaging can be refined to continue to make maximum impact.
  6. Wow, clear offside
  7. Today is right up there isn't it. Conceding 4 in open play against a team who don't create chances in open play. Absolute comedy defending for all 4 goals. Didn't win any 50/50's, aerial battles, or second balls all game. Created 1 half chance. A performance that laid bare the glaring weaknesses and limitations this group has.
  8. Everton had scored 9 goals in open play before today.
  9. Vestergaard
  10. Easy scapegoat. Most of the aren't up to it.
  11. Vardy on top pointing form today.
  12. These centre halves dear god.
  13. Terrible turnover
  14. Huge win. Spurs the most charitable opposition we could have hoped to face. Game management crap last 15 but nerves understandable given the stakes. Now pressure on Rudkin to get 2 or 3 in to improve our chances. Thought Soumare and Jakub were excellent.
  15. Ayew towing a tractor now, change needed
  16. Justin being targeted again
  17. My Dad comes up from East Sussex and picks me up from South East London. Average Saturday 3pm sees me leave home 8.30am, back home 9pm.
  18. That's so so bad from Chalobah. Looked like Bambi on ice for the 2nd goal as well
  19. Absolutely brainless challenge by Gomes.
  20. I felt a bit for Ayew, he didn't deserve that reaction. SK1 were singing for Buonanotte 10 mins before so maybe the ironic cheering was more aimed at that substitution actually happening rather than at Ayew as an individual, but it was uncomfortable.
  21. Would have heavily depended on recruitment. But I'm pretty confident he wouldn't have sanctioned £40m being dropped on Skipp, Okoli and Ayew.
  22. I'm no Faes fan but he was one of the few who come off with any credit today.
  23. One of the most "looks like a competition winner" cameos I've ever had the misfortune to witness.
  24. Pretty toxic in the crowd here now. That El Khannouss substitution was absolutely unreal from Van Nistelrooy.
  25. Agree to disagree. I think the only game we lost where I thought we were unfortunate was against Spurs at home on Boxing Day where we battered them. Aside from that we were largely very very poor in the middle part of the season.
