Stephy Mavididi (no real rumour, some clubs "interested.")

Couldn’t disagree more. Played out of position Lookman was quality. The fault lay with Rodgers who failed to see the talent he had and wasted the available £15m on the panic buy of Vestergaard instead. -
We need to try and avoid the merry go round of appointing rinse and repeat failures and that includes recently sacked Dyche, Carrick etc. These aren’t guys who have been unlucky with their sackings, these are guys with recent and long term poor form that can’t be blamed on anyone else. Why will being in charge of Leicester be any different for them?

Purely for the signing of Danny Ward, he should be treated like the defeated Napoleon and exiled to spend the rest of his days on the remote island of St Helena. That’s without even considering what historic French themed punishment he could receive for the signing of bad Mahrez lookalike Ghezzal.

To fill the void the most recent ‘When You’re Smiling’ podcast (admitting they didn’t know what was going on) just gave Matty Fryatt the mic and let him loose with his meandering prose without a pause for almost 20 mins. I ‘surfed’ the full anecdote to its exhausting and fruitless end. Quite a feat.

Hope not. He’s not going to enhance the careers of players like Alves, Monga etc with his style of play. I’m not even sure footballing centre backs like Nelson are what he likes. He generally prefers lumps like Tarkowski.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

The only way they’ve been able to shift Turner is this strange game that’s going on between Marinakis and his friend at OL - Textor. Buying these Forest rejects at an inflated price is probably payment for the complaint letter from Forest to UEFA that forces Palace owners to buy Textor out of the shares that he’s been very keen (but unable) to offload for a while. Now Europe is threatened he’ll more likely get the shares sold to the other Palace owners and at a price that he’s happier with. -
Are you saying the team he came from were donkeys too? His goal and assist stats weren’t great there either.
-
For all the great qualities ELK has, he’s absolutely no replacement for Mbuemo. Goals and assists are just not comparable.
-
I just think On the list of players to get out of the club he’s low on the list for me, based on what we’d get for him in conjunction with what he offers on and off the pitch. Basically he’s a great player who because of his previous injuries isn’t going to command the fee that will offset his loss. There’s more obvious players that don’t have Ricardo’s influence but despite that will command more of a fee that we should be looking to move on if possible.

The later quote says only 500 new ones?? So is it 500 or 2300? I’m assuming it’s the 500 figure that’s the correct one?
-
Well I really liked Enzo’s football, there was a plan on and off the ball and a structure and it worked well as we won the league. It also ensured we were able to utilise Ricardo very effectively in the absolutely key and complex inverted fullback role that acknowledged his outstanding technique and ability AND managed his physicality. He was never given that full opportunity before Enzo and certainly not after when he was managed terribly by Cooper. Your point comparing the leagues is presumably that The Championship is easier on the body and that’s why Ricardo managed so many appearances last time? Whilst I don’t necessarily agree with you, that’s where we are going to be next year so what’s wrong with keeping him around?
-
Yes He needs to be treated with respect to his ability but also his medical history. Enzo managed him respectfully to the extent that he played 39 league games last season, more than in any other season for us. Cooper did the exact opposite, ignored him, gave him no opportunity to get match fit in pre season and nor at the start of the season and that resulted in a bad strain (hamstring) injury when Cooper suddenly decided he needed him v Ipswich away.
-
That’s in part because Cooper gave him minimal minutes in the preseason matches and then benched him during the first part of his tenure and then suddenly expected him to play 90mins. No stepping of minutes - it went from nothing to full on. That is not how you manage Ricardo!
-
Everything was straight at him in that Watford match…. And it was against Watford.

The excellent analysis of ELk by Euro Expert that I posted a link to a couple of days ago highlights the fact that in a way you are both right. An excellent dribbler with outstanding technique who can see a pass, link up well and can score great goals, but who also can get caught on the ball, isn’t always aware of what’s going on around him, gives it away a bit too much and doesn’t assist or score enough. Euro Expert even goes as far to analyse his kicking technique to try and explain why he doesn’t score as much as he should. I hope he stays and continues to improve with us in The Championship but him missing the final match of the season for ‘personal reasons’ was either coincidence or for me the sign of a player looking to leave (and maybe his PSR stricken club holding the door ajar for him.)

I’m completely confused. You just said you liked Cooper and yet In your precious post you stated - ‘it was, and has always been about entertainment for me’ - Cooper most definitely did not play entertaining football at Leicester!!
-
Anyone who has watched Daka’s LCFC career under countless managers will tell you that this would be an utterly pointless exercise. You can’t fix a lack of ability.
-
And on top of that did Martin ignore the Southampton fans after every home game?
-
The point I was making is anyone is better than RVN. There’s absolutely no way Rosenior is leaving Strasbourg to drop down to The Championship having just signed a new contract and with his team playing in European competition next season. As for Rohl, where has he shown anything above mediocrity in his time here at England?

It’s massive mate. Can’t you access Twitter?

Some brilliant analysis of ELK on Twitter by Euro Expert Alex. Makes a lot of sense.
