It was Hermansen that created the argument. He absolutely ranted at Soumare who, back turned, ignored him for a while. Hermansen continued ranting and started moving towards him then Soumare turned around and gestured back to Hermansen then they would’ve squared up if it wasn’t for LCFC players around them. If u were going to apply your u21 rule then you’d have to send Mads with him!

Ruud’s major undoing and disconnect with the fans has been his bizarre obsession with BDCR & Ayew and his dropping of Mavididi and specifically of Buonanotte. He’s literally taken goals out of the team and replaced it with slow non-creators who offer nothing in attack and little or no defensive ability. I still do not see what BDCR offers as a footballer. We might well have lost the games still but we would’ve scored. ELK and Buonanotte can play together and they should now for the rest of the season if nothing else to give the fans some entertainment.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Not mentioned the kids. Assuming we get relegated, we need to start fast tracking players like Alves, Evans, Monga etc. Let’s actually see these lads actually play for LCFC rather than being snatched by the likes of Liverpool before they even get the chance to show Leicester fans what they can do, -
Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

We’ve got to start risking these players. None of them will be told what you’ve suggested. Treating them too gently has not worked with our forward or creative youth players in the past. Our squad is lacking pace and lacking creativity and it’s lacking money. In this situation we should be trying out these outstanding kids and seeing how they get on. If they are good enough then they will cope, if they aren’t then they’ve had a chance and will have at least achieved a 1st team appearance or 2! If they are good enough they are old enough. -
None of those would get in the Leeds or Sunderland teams I’ve watched tonight

I look at BDCR and I still can’t get my head round loaning Alves out despite lots of people on here saying he’s not ready. I’m not convinced a not ready Alves is any worse than our current options.

Take out our LCFC bias and look at the team set up from top to bottom and it’s an inevitability. Player for player, this squad’s comparative ability is perfectly reflected by our current league position of bottom but one. A 38 year old striker being fed by two 30+ non wingers, neither blessed with pace (and one with no apparent dribbling ability) but still playing as actual wingers. An inexperienced number 10, great on the ball but not achieving the assists or goals that one day he will. The 2 midfielders behind him, one very injury prone and one who continually loses concentration off the ball. Then a defence with no reliable defensive rocks. Every one of them more flawed than able at this level, either through lack of pace, positional sense, football intelligence or football ability. A goalkeeper that he and the rest of the squad knows will get a move irrespective of where the club finishes at the end of the season. A team with no obvious leader and one with a weakened bench with few promising players not trusted by a novice manager who is stubborn with his team selection and tactics despite losing game after game. A team full of players haunted by previous relegations with an increasingly fractious crowd, with an absent senior management team - some more focused on maintaining their own position as head sycophant to the owner. A senior management team that have failed consistently over a significant period of time and have shown, with contracts dished out over the summer, that they still have minimal knowledge of market values of players not to mention a total lack of common sense succession planning with regards their managers (Enzo to Cooper ffs.) All absolutely clear relegation indicators.

Ripped apart by Nwaneri and then just left Merino for the second goal. Bizarre positioning for that one and I can only assume he was knackered? Surprised MOTD didn’t pick up on it but their analysis didn’t even mention Leicester! 😂Personally I’d play Coulibaly on the right and JJ on the left. Ruud won’t drop VK though. He’s there until the bitter end along with our paceless wing pairing of BDCR and Ayew.

New keeper Parmer had a great game for Ipswich. Managed to save one close shot diving to his left but purposefully diverted it to his right out of play.
-
Glad GTF got another year he did a good job for us during the promotion season.
-
You’d actually consider playing McAteer as a wing back against Arsenal? 👀🤣
-
We’ve got 1 squad space free - who are you signing?

Danny Ward has that job absolutely nailed down until the end of the season. -
Yes I do think we should’ve given Alves more of an opportunity in the PL. We lack attacking creativity and pace. Alves has both.
-
I don’t think BDCR or McAteer are better wingers than Alves. On paper they have goals and assists but that’s because they are older with more game time, BDCR isn’t really a traditional winger anyway and there’s doubt over whether it’s McAteer’s main role or even if he’s good enough for this level after plenty of opportunities. Let’s be honest Ayew isn’t a winger really either.
-
Alves is definitely an outstanding talent. He should be getting regular game time with us now rather than at Cardiff. A player who can at this early stage in his career make a real impact off the bench.
-
He’s out until Christmas? 🥺

I don’t it think criticism had anything to do with the colour of Beckford’s skin or his deceny as a bloke. He just came with a bit of hype and then wasn’t great for us. If you look at the threads on here, LCFC fans are very good at moaning about underperforming players and are rightly colourblind (and decency blind) when dishing out the criticism!
-
Rarely if ever got played in his best position behind a main striker. An asset not used correctly by Rodgers.
-
Your graphic is absolutely damning to your own point mate. As clear a decision that you’ll ever see for a professional assistant ref. This was no amateur dad on a parks pitch. He could only see Man U players because there weren’t any Lcfc players as they were holding the traditional line that is always held in dead ball situations like this.
-
You’re on the wind up mate, the Man U players were 2-3 steps at least ahead of our last line of defence and the linesman would’ve had the best view of that in the whole stadium. There was no one blocking his view of Maguire and it was from a dead ball situation - that’s a simple decision in Sunday league football, a well paid assistant referee earning £60k plus expenses a year minimum should not be missing decisions like that.
-
The linesman had an unobstructed line of sight. It was an excellent offside line by the defence, Maguire and 3 teammates were offside before the freekick and didn’t move from that offside position. The decision was so poor it looked corrupt.
-
You clearly didn’t watch the last game against Everton. Tonight we were ok, certainly our best performance against Man U this season! Plenty of performances this season and in Rodgers’ last season that have been way worse than this and that’s only going back 3 years, not even considered the Levein and Holloway stints that both fall into your 20 year window!
-
Don’t agree with that. Gives it away at times but he had another solid game for me.
