Sargent is a weird one. He has certain attributes that I can see the Leicester scouting team being fond of, out of possession he works hard and presses well. While in possession, he was statistically one of the best strikers in the Championship for accurate passes last season. The season he had in the Premier League, even though most of his performances were crap, he was often played out of position both by Daniel Farke and Dean Smith. That season is a massive stain on his career, but after reading up on it, maybe he actually gets too harshly criticised for it.

Had a more thorough look at him last night, I’ll post some more detailed clips when I actually see him holding a Leicester shirt... My main takeaway though is the position he might end up playing. I think we all have visions of him playing as a natural 10 behind the striker, but with the way El Khannouss operates, he’ll give us far more versatility than that imo. As I touched on in a previous post in this thread, he likes to operate in wide areas, so I could easily see him start in the position that Reid and Mavididi have been playing, with that ability to drift inside if needs be. He also likes to pick the ball up in deep areas, much like you expect from a deep-lying playmaker, he loves to ping balls over the top for wingers and strikers to run onto. I can see the likes of Fatawu and Mavididi thriving off some of his passes, while I must say, a striker who can hold the ball up but also has pace, would be a welcome addition in the next two days

I saw enough tonight to know that Jordan Ayew will break Arthur Chandler’s goalscoring record.

On paper there’s attacking midfielders who had better goal and assist returns last season. This is a player though who was the best young player in Belgium last season. While he’s underlying creative statistics were excellent. 6 shot creating-actions per90 last season. 3rd for most Smart Passes in the Jupiler last season. Of attacking midfielders outside of Europe’s top five leagues, he is one of the best prospects around. He is exactly the type of profile we’ve been craving for all summer when it comes to a CAM.

Fire up the CAA Base client list and get Koki Machida from Union SG to replace him. He would have made much more sense instead of Okoli as well tbf, at least he’s naturally left footed.

Thinks he’s better than he actually is, would happily get rid. Knowing us though, we’ll probably replace him with someone like Michael Keane on loan.

Can operate like an 8/10 but tends to drift more, likes to pick up wide positions from the clips I went through. In a way I’d say he’d be an ideal replacement for KDH, El Khannouss is exactly the type of profile we should be going for to replace KDH’s creativity 👍🏻
