  1. To be honest with the benefit of hindsight I think it was less about the money for sacking Rodgers and more the desire. We shouldn't hand out a contract like that again but the issue was more that we didn't want to sack him rather than couldn't.
  2. Mavididi?! Bloody hell that's a peculiar pick.
  3. Scroll down a bit further and it says "Preston 532"
  4. I'm sort of the same here. Actually don't mind it for a little while. Admittedly the post Preston game was absurd.
  5. I'll believe it when I see it with Spurs. Man City to walk it eventually again.
  6. Very true really.
  7. His career's in danger of tailspin I think. Can see parallels with Drinkwater.
  8. Very selfishly don't want that one to be Friday - only hope is we both play currently on Weds 13th and that might save us.
  9. I don't agree but agree to disagree. Ours is mental.
  10. Yeah I worry for you I'm afraid. It's eerily similar to what happened here a year ago and they only acted on sacking the manager when he realised there was nothing he could actually do beyond directly asking them for the sack to get his much wanted payoff. Good chance Leuven drop this season.
  11. I can't escape this exact thought. Only have to see the U21 as well. I'm not fooled.
  12. I think the level we're on is exclusive to us. It happens to an extent anywhere but I'm talking literally over half of the crowd are gone when the board goes up. The reasons about our infrastructure and whatnot is completely valid but ours has gone so far with that many leaving that I doubt those leaving early even really gain that much out of it. It happens everywhere but I'm genuinely yet to visit a ground where it's as bad as it is here and it's a new fad. Didn't used to happen to this extent five years ago.
  13. So just over a million euros per goal he's bagged in the opening 'seven' games this season. Stuttgart played a blinder on Guirassy, they got him in the summer for £9mil following a loan move and they'll now sell him for five times that minimum.
  14. He didn't even play a game last season either. I'm not going to pretend he wasn't dog shit in his first two years but that relegation can't be put on him in any way, shape or form and for all the bashing he got for his conduct he has played in better sides than how ours performed last season. I have reservations about him for us in the top flight depending on our ambitions but he's a quite key part of our side now I think. Him playing is no joke anymore, we missed him for a game and I genuinely wanted him back in because I think we missed his passing.
  15. No doubt they announce another strike when we have QPR. They love killing our aways.
  16. There is just a strange culture at this place now of leaving early that I used to associate with the big London clubs, of whom I always just assumed it was linked to crap transport and whatnot. But ours really is on a level of its own nowadays. I can't name another ground where it's any worse, and it's regardless of result as well. It's really peculiar.
  17. It's actually really shit for someone like a Sunderland or a Middlesbrough who you would expect to be on the cusp that we dropped in. We always had the possibility of doing this. If us and Ipswich keep this up this could be as boring a Championship you'll see as a neutral.
  18. Guirassy we have no chance. They'd want about £60mil.
  19. Omur was meant to be a quite big thing a few years ago. Surprises me he's still at Trabzonspor.
  20. I completely despised it. We were the biggest team of pussies I've ever seen. It was very tough to resonate with.
  21. Just rotten from Birmingham. I think if you supported them you could stomach them sacking Eustace if you had a proper coup lined up but ****ing Rooney? It's a sidestep at most. It just reeks of wanting a name for wanting a names sake.
  22. They really are two brilliant goals. It's hard to not be excited about our ceiling under Maresca.
  23. I'd imagine this is probably what Enzo's getting at with the digs at the home support. It is genuinely mad how many leave here. Like it's not even a few it's literally over half of the ground every game. It's more than at any ground I've seen.
  24. That's a crap allocation. We should only give them the same back. It's not like they'll sell out the home end.
  25. We've needed more of this for years. Far rather be the the aggressor than the victim on this one.
