Desperately needs bringing back into the XI for me. I understand that Justin is (was) better defensively and certainly for mobility, but now Justin isn’t doing much better it’s time for the change. Doyle brings us so much more in chance creation going forward simply by having a left foot and opening up angles that Justin can’t find or pass into accurately. Not only that, as people have said in the Mavididi thread, Doyle does a much better job of taking the load off Mavididi down the left and unlocking him.

For a 20 year old winger his defensive work rate should be commended. Took Mahrez and Barnes years to get anywhere near that level of discipline.
-
If and when we painfully limp over the line I’d wager my bets that it’s Vards that gets us there.

Don’t disagree at all. Think there’s a few that look jaded but he clearly doesn’t rate anyone outside of about 15 players.
-
He’s been absolutely bobbins ever since Leeds away. Needs taking out the side for a bit desperately but with an injured McAteer, an Albrighton that Enzo doesn’t rate and a Wanya that Enzo doesn’t trust it’s not going to happen.

Flat track bully this season. Has gone missing once the going has got tough over and over again.

Less bothered about the performance than Tuesday, just get the 3 points and lay the marker down. Vestergaard has to come back in, but would consider Coady instead of Faes. Would be amazing to get an hour out of Ndidi and Vardy.

Think you’re underestimating the version of Joshua that Ben Davison has unlocked here.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

@BSLBPod @Ric Flair Am I right in saying you’ve had the likes of Kieran Maguire or other football finance people on the pod before? Can you try and get someone on that knows their stuff to really explain where we’re at. Theres so much guff everywhere from the likes of Dorsett and in these threads. -
Think last night was his best game since his injury. No doubting we’re a much better side in terms of creating chances with his left foot on the left side of the back three. Justin is probably the better defender and definitely more mobile.

Think there’s an obsession with control with him sometimes (He’s often alluded to the concept of us actually defending by having the ball) that almost ends up going the other way where the complacency on the ball and sloppiness comes in and you actually end up losing that control. That being said if we actually took the chances we got in the first 20mins then they’re 2/3-0 down and their heads have dropped, the ground turns toxic and it’s an entirely more comfortable night than it was. Fine line.

O’Nien gets away with murder every time I watch him.

Yet to be sent the team

Has anyone worked out or found out if this is a red button job?

There’s no deal to buy in place on Doyle’s loan. He’s just struggled since he’s come back from injury I think.
-
Agreed totally mate. Those awkward right footed balls Justin was trying to put in weren’t happening. Needed the left footer.
-
Sorry but none of the three things you’ve listed were experiments. They’ve all happened already lots this season - some more successfully than others (I also hate KDH on the right side of attack). Not sure I buy this talk that Justin was inverting either, just had a license to get forward a bit more, and being right footed he’s never going to bomb around the winger on the overlap, we miss Doyle in that regard.

I do think we’ll see something new over the next two. I think he’ll of been back at the drawing board this morning. Whether that’s a centre back stepping into midfield instead of a full back, Iheanacho playing one of the 8 positions. Something. I think he’ll want to try something new.

Must say, the poor subs to change the dynamic are grating me. To leave Albrighton and even Wanya on the bench when Mavididi was having such a shocker was beyond me. Way too late to put Cannon on too. It’s less about “not having a plan b” and more about a stubbornness to deviate from “the idea”.
-
Mads, Nelson, Faes, Justin, Hamza, Winks, Fatawu, Praet, KDH, Mavididi, Daka No Ricardo on bench. Cannon, Vardy, Wanya all on there.
-
Seems like he has.

0:30-0:55 Justin with a cameo in the inverted role, plays a pass you see winks play 20 times a game. Nelson playing on the opposite side of defence to usual with a right foot, breaks lines with a great pass. Kel drops deep intelligently. Akgun bursts into the space Kel has left behind. Everyone not only knows their role, but also what everyone else does in their role when they need to fill in. This is what proper coaching and philosophy gets you.
