Yeah it's absolutely bizarre. They'll clap at anything. We could get relegated again and they'd still do it. I just can't fathom it. It's not even like it's an ode to past successes. None of that team remains (apart from Thomas for the FA Cup?). It's even more depressing seeing fans act that way.

In no way blaming the referee for today's performance but why did he seem at pains to give them a free kick for one pull back by a midfielder on an attack, but missed at least 3 other occasions when they did it on our players? If he's not seeing it what the fvck are the linos doing? If anything, it just epitomised how we're not ready to adapt to the dirty and darker side of the game. It'll happen all season and it emphasises the lack of physical nature to our side. We're a team full of weaklings and technical ability only gets you so far in this kind of league. We're set up in totally the wrong way and approach every game so negatively. Gonna be a long old slog of a season especially if we're not even in contention for a playoff place come Feb/March. How bloody depressing.

We have this very odd trait within the squad that we play like we're the ones winning the game at 70/75 mins and still piss about with it, as opposed to needing to chase the game with some energy and conviction. McCarthy was a big culprit of it. He looked utterly lost and even when he did hoof it up, he couldn't aim it towards the 6ft 7 lump that is Souttar.

Struggles to pass. Struggles with aerial balls (even worse as a CB). Doesn't seem to get on with any players. Seems to shirk any physical duel. He was very bad.

Mccarthy and Thomas in is crap. Reid deserved to be dropped to the u21s let alone the bench. Would have liked to see Watson or Howell start too.
