I mean this may age badly… But even if we got -12pts we’d basically be level with the two other relegation candidates (with 1 place filled already). They’re picking up 1pt per game vs us at about 1.4. While we’re often poor you’d hope over half a season we’d have enough to put the points in the board needed to pull clear.

While I think he improves the team (let alone the squad), I think most sane people now acknowledge we’re unlikely to go up. Particularly if we have a points deduction. Given this I think I’d rather give Evans 6m off the bench.

Feels like, particularly with him being at a team pushing for promotion, he needs to be a little braver with his passing.

We feel very similar as a club to Man Utd. Culture all wrong, lots of well paid players underperforming, series of managers coming in giving cryptic messages but failing. Would a different manager do better, you’d hope so. But it’s clear our problems run much deeper than this guy and it’s such a shame.

Obviously it’s all dependent on buying clubs/contracts but ideally. Out; Winks, Faes, Kristiansen, Carranza, Ramsey (sorry!) In; a semi competent striker (ideally one who could also be here next season), competition at CM for Skipp/James He may be a useful stop gap but can’t see the point in Antonio and I’m happy seeing the bench filled with academy players. Getting in someone who could get 10 before the end of the season has to be the priority.
