Just ordered Frankincense and More: The Biography of Barry Hills. That will be the holiday read this summer.

Sunday. Car next to me on the A46 drifts into my lane. The reason for the drift was to avoid a collision with an idiot doing about 100mph (based on how quick they went past/pulled away) on the slip road to join the 46. Person in the car next to me realised that they were not going to stop and that it would be safer to partially drift into my lane. The car speeding uses the whole length of the slip and their tyres are borderline on the grass at the side of the road at the end. This is because there was a limited gap to get through. This car then speeds off to almost rear end another car further up the road, forcing them out of the lane.

Season ended last week, the managers gone back to Holland and is unaware of what is happening. We are a joke of a club.

Iversen goes on a free, 12 months after we were asking too much for him. So no transfer fee and wages for 12 months. Another Rudkin masterclass.

Yet another near miss when exiting the A46 near j21a. I was in the right lane turning left and indicating to do so. White VW van thing was in the left lane and behind me. Starts to go past me on the junction and then indicates right immediately before throwing his van into the car I am driving. Millimetres in it as I had to swerve the car to avoid the collision. Like a dodgem ride. How do the thick cnuts not work out what the road sign means? And its always with people wanting to use that junction as a short cut when theres traffic. Ought to close the roundabout off and make them turn left to the next roundabout to come back around.

Worst thing you've done in a job without being sacked?
adam1 replied to Gamble92's topic in Leicester City Forum
Worked in a bookies. A mate who knew a few faces and had warm info told me he fancied one running in Ireland later that day at a decent price. Funnily enough the losing slip draw (win a £20 free bet) was brought forward and my mate won it after placing a 5p rfc on two outsiders (he was on average a £100 punter). Just a coincidence. The £20 goes on this horse and it wins. I scoop a couple of hundred from my share. -
I'd imagine he will have a season with Sheff Wednesday.

I'd probably consider Wolves a bigger game then Derby? But for us, I think Cov. They know it hence all the banners over the M69 last year...

The change/pivotal moment that season was the signing of Huth.

I remember his name. He had a nasty injury in the 90s which pretty much stopped his career. " Thornley sued Marker and Blackburn Rovers for millions over the tackle, claiming a loss of earnings that resulted from him being kept out of the Manchester United first team because of the injury." https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/oct/10/ben-thornley-manchester-united-giggs-scholes-beckham-drinking-book

Yesterday evening and parking in Leicester. Significant reduction of on street parking due to bike lanes and newarke street car park closed. Its like the Highcross has bunged the mayor a few bob....

Is relegation a price worth paying for avoiding a PSR breach?
adam1 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Season 1: Breach PSR Season 2: [points deduction] Continue to breach PSR Season 3: [points deduction] Behave Season 4: [no points deduction] breach PSR again, but with a squad strengthened over the last few years, go for Europe. Repeat. Not, lets try and avoid relegation for the sake of 4 points next season.... that is literally like sitting on the fence being undecided. -
Not that £7m makes a difference in the days of PSR 🙃, wasn't Tielemans £45m? Must also point out that Atletico Madrid got Soyuncu on a free and then sold him for £8m to Fenerbahce..

Might be worth checking out the tv model number to work out if you are getting value or not. https://uk.pcmag.com/tvs/152782/tv-model-numbers-explained-what-they-mean-and-how-to-know-if-youre-getting-a-good-deal

"An historic inn, originally the 'Old Bowling Green'. Dating mostly from the 18th century, this is a Grade 2 Listed Building. One of the oldest pubs in Leicester, this was formerly owned by the All Saints Brewery (Leicester), then by Ind Coope Brewery of Burton from 1929." https://camra.org.uk/pubs/bowling-green-leicester-173841

Up to 95% off designer coats cries the website. Bulls4it alert. The lowest priced coat listed is £25 and I don't think it or any other coat mentioned were originally over £500. Surely this is misleading advertising if no coats are at a 95% discount?

You are agreeing with my point then. Your point made about Fosse Park is spot on, this has been an underlying issue for a long time. -

You are right. I don't think the role of mayor at his level works. Would they have proposed it if they knew he wouldn't be elected? No. Areas where a mayor would work: London. Yes. Greater Manchester. Yes West Midlands. Yes Leicester. No. -

You'd think that the likes of the A46 and M1 are being considered as boundaries. Glenfield most likely to move into the City Braunstone Town and Thorpe Astley - must have been considered. Birstall is city side of the A46 and is a contender as well. -
I am with @Parafox on this. This is a prime example of where drivers are completely ignorant of other road users. Yes they have let the other person across, but they had complete disregard to the flow of traffic in their lane which includes those behind them. They could have caused an accident.
