You have to judge by results. The start of this season I lay pretty fair and sqaure at Rogers feet. Yes there were problems with freshening up the squad. Yes we lost a very influential dressing room voice in Kasper and yes, at the last minuter we lost Fofana, but Rogers failed as a leader when it mattered. I was at Brighton and if he had been shown the door after that game I would have been delighted. However, once he seems to have put his own frustrations and dissappointments to bed and got his head back in the game, for whatever reason, you have to give him credit for turning it around. I think he has been outstanding in the last few weeks.

Just got home from the game. Overall I thought we played well against a very very good team. A touch unlucky .....perhaps, but most importantly team spirit, fighting spirit, individual performances and continually improving group confidence did not take a battering and if anything were well served. Our season will not be defined againt teams like Man City. Overall I thought the team played well and kudos to the manager for begining to turn things around (Even if i beleive most of the issues earlier in the season can be firmly laid at his door.)

maybe there is just a lot of people on here who are looking for us to fail and have lost any ability to rationally view the game unless its through a negative/rogers out lens

absolutely agree. I Thought he was excellent - always available for the simple pass and usually tried to be progressive with the ball

It seems clear what your view is and your perfectly entitled to it. This is all subjective afterall. Here's mine fwiw: I think Rogers has done a more than a pretty good job and is actually a very good manager. Two of the best three league finishes in the clubs history, the first FA cup the club has ever won, the charity shield and a european competition semi final. Yes last year was disappointing and the football at times truly turgid, but we must consider the exceptional and prolonged injury issues he and the team had to accommodate. We simply don't have the depth of squad necessary to absorb that and neither to any but the biggest, richest, clubs. As far as the summer transfer window is concerned then it's not all in the power of the club, let alone Rogers, to just make it all happen.Im sure all are busting a gut trying to get deals across the line, but there are clearly complex dependencies involving different clubs, players, agents and funds. I'm not sure he ever 'promised' a summer rebuild - more "we need to rebuild" which is not the same thing (I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong on that) and it was probably an error by him to say it but bourne of exasperation and, dare i say, deflection. He's not perfect for sure, but that doesn't make him bad or imply he's not the best available option for us.

Great shout - this needs to be in the calendar...July maybe?

I shouldn't say it..... but.......this!

Never mind the transfer news....this is exactly the quality i'm here for

These people would be a cancer to any club. They are entitled and free to do what they like but to deny the poison they inject into a club is to be in a state of denial and to try and disguise the fact its all about personal wealth and self promotion generation regardless if its at the expense of the clubs fortunes

Paris Saint-Germain had stepped in with the €30m asking price, double the €15m that Milan are offering. They also spoke to the player’s entourage and seem to have convinced him rapidly too.

I agree with the best of luck 100% Maybe more of a combination of 1: We've kicked on faster as a team in the last few years and the level has gone up faster and further than he can consistently meet. 2: He's had limited opportunities to play and therefore improve his game. Doesn't make him a bad player or one who there maybe cause to disrespect (not that you were)

Europa Conference League Draw & General Chat

Some people revel in it. It defines them although they cant bring themselves to see it or admit it. You have to ask what it is about them that needs to be like that. -
well it is tradition

Agree and in addition I don't think we should underestimate how well Claudio represented the club off the field when the eyes of the world were on us. No Klopp like gurning, no cracking up under the pressure blaming all around when things falter. He was a lot to do with so many people wanting us to succeed. He was a gentleman and I was very proud to be a Leicester fan. All the above said and done, I also feel the right thing was done to move him on. Things change harsh as that is.

A bit against the grain judging by most reactions, but if the coaching team felt his attitude was good and personality is a fit, then yes, at £15m I would take this guy. High energy and technically competent. Good squad player. With today's prices as a benchmark and the deal structured over time and performance then this strikes me as a bit of a low risk steal

He did a decent and needed job transitioning the club and team. Did he make some odd/bad decisions during that process? Yes, but not all and overall his influence was positive Would i want to watch his brand of football all the time? No certainly not. Would he, in time, have taken us to were we are today? Doubtful. Do I think he was moved on at the right time - neither to early or to late? - Yes in hindsight probably so Do I hate him or think he's the worst thing to happen? Of course not - I'm not an emotionally unstable and unthinking child

can we all agree that Daka had quite a good game tonight

We are witnessing days most of us never ever thought were possible. Every time I see this scene from Full Metal Jacket I think of us and Arsenal :-)

the pre match 'music' was dreadful and much to loud. Not everybody in the ground is 12 years old. I do appreciate they've got to cater for all tastes and all ages, but just tone it down a touch and choose something just a little less grating...............please

They have a good squad on paper. It remains to be seen whether they all gel and whether the tactics they employ get the best out of what they have. We have a good squad in practice. Plenty of evidence over the last couple of seasons to demonstrate that fact. We'll have to see, but as always the first ten games will tell us a lot about most clubs prospects
