Sad for him and Brentford. Good luck to him, but I'm pretty sure this is going to end in tears.

We do it every year. It'll be u23s.

Thinking about it, perhaps this is a case of the announcement from the club that his contract has been extended, and external reports we've rejected a bid from Norwich, are not linear? It would make sense that Norwich held interest in Jakub, spoke to his people, bid for him, we rejected it, and as a result we extended his contract as reassurance to him/his people that he would be important to the club for the foreseeable future. While also protecting an asset (longer contract = more leverage for negotiations).

"Cardiff hold advanced manager talks with Barry-Murphy" https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cvg75z2zzgpo Probably puts paid to the idea we might promote him if RVN is sacked. With Jelle ten Rouwelaar targeted by Brighton too, I'm not sure we'll have any coaching staff but RVN and Kingy come pre-season!
-
Why are people even contemplating this being something we should consider? Bizarre that they have bid for him though.

Man United must be the clearest option. A slight concern for me though is that we know how good Mads is, and 1st half of this season he showcased that to the league...but is that enough for a side to go for him now, after being out injured, and then not quite as good once he came back? Personally I'd love him to stay, but if it's him or Bilal, we have Jakub ready to step up full time between the sticks.

"What makes BC.GAME particularly egregious is that unlike other Asian-facing sports betting operators, BC.GAME took on British customers and carried on doing so even after having its licence revoked by the Great Britain Gambling Commission." "BC.GAME was ranked as the company generating the largest numbers of complaints last year at alternative dispute resolution organisation, AskGamblers.com, which helps bettors in disputes with illegal betting companies." Really, Susan? Due diligence, huh?

I swear, if Wrexham pay money for him...all* will be forgiven, and arise, Sir Jon of Rudkin. *No it won't, but it would still be a masterstroke.

Wonderful news, especially on Monga! Curious that Jakub's has been extended by a year. Would have thought he would get a new multi-year contract, but perhaps the club are...learning?! -
Has anyone managed to get hold of a video of his goal last night? All the clips on Twitter seem to be region-locked đź«

I could definitely see that move happening. If I had to choose to keep one of Coady, Faes, and Vestergaard though, I'd keep Coady.

That is such an obvious call, I can't believe I didn't even consider that. He's going to go to Spurs, isn't he? Just as Martin rocks up in Glasgow. I'm not convinced Frank will want to leave Brentford for Spurs, but if he did leave that opens all sorts of doors and would mean there's no chance we get Rohl.
-
Ruthless from Spurs, but it didn't seem like Ange was a long term solution to their problems. I wonder where he goes from here? Equally, where do Spurs go? They feel like a bit of poisoned chalice these days.

Edit: Just seen his thread. Interesting! Although him being a starter has exasperated me this season, he's done okay all things considered, and would likely be useful in the Championship if used as sub/experienced head. However, if we could get him off the books that would be some good business I think.
-
Maybe. Perhaps they do need that kind of striker though. And he played a lot with Cole Palmer at youth level, so could be a good link up there.
-
Could make a mint supplying the hair though 🤔
-
I'll only accept him if he can match his dad's eyebrow game.
-
Not a shock at all, Rangers could be a good launch pad for his career. A shot at European football too. Makes you wonder who we are targeting now though. If anyone.

I'm somewhat resigned to the fact we didn't bring Maresca in until 16th June. I think that's around when we'll hear anything. Can't remember when Dean Smith was let go, but at the end of the day, mid June was when we appointed ahead of our last Championship season.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
CloudFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think we were competing with Liverpool for his signature at the time, if I remember correctly? Wouldn't be surprised if that played a part. -
Best take so far. He's not a bad player, he's just not good enough in the areas we need. And unfortunately, his weaknesses (namely pace and aerial ability) far outweigh his strengths for us at PL level. It's his seeming attitude which is a main issue, for me. But I am on the fence about that—as others have said, I have no problem a player calling out a manager and demanding higher standards, if it's appropriate.
-
That's a great shout.

I would be so excited to see him rip up the Championship and give him time to properly develop. I think I care more about him staying than who our manager is next year. Desperately want to see him, Fatawu, Mavididi and Monga/Evans combine in attacks. Just seems like it would be fun. And I miss watching Leicester being fun.

So let me get this straight, now it's done and dusted. This great Liverpool title-winning team amassed a grand total of—*checks notes*—THREE points more than our title-winning team in 2015/16. In second place, Arsenal again finished 10 points behind. Narrative is really fascinating, you know.
