  1. Alves, El Khanouss, Fatawu + A New Striker would be so fun to see play together 🤞🏻
  2. Anything trotted out like this is tone deaf. All he had to say was that things haven't been good enough this season, but they're not giving up and will work harder and harder each week to try and stay up. Doesn't throw anyone under the bus, acknowledges the situation, but shows some determination and fight. Up to the squad each match day to then showcase that.
  3. Brentford are a good team, but Ruud has added nothing to this team. He's not cut out for this level, and needs to go. We may already have been down from the moment he got here, but I do not trust him to rebuild this team. He offers nothing. We just keep getting pasted each week, with no glimmers of hope.
  4. It's probably Charles Aranguiz. A cleaner was finally allowed in Rudkin's office and while plugging the vacuum in noticed the fax machine was unplugged. Plugged it back in, and our final offer was sent at last.
  5. I was going to say they've just sold someone for £9m...but then remembered we've sold Cannon for £10m+... I'm baffled we're not doing anything in the market. I know it's a tough window, but still...
  6. Monchi is their Director of Football now, right? Or Head of Recruitment? Regardless, he knows what he's doing when he has the right tools. If only, if only...what I'd give for us to have a talented DoF and a clear strategy...
  7. Good luck to him. Hopefully he gets plenty of game time and shows them something.
  8. Appreciate you're the "Realist", but Oxlade-Chamberlain isn't starting for Besiktas, or making much of an impact. He's played about half their games, and mostly been on the bench for them—either coming on around the 70th minute mark, or coming off before the 60th minute when he has occasionally started. He's contributed one goal so far this season for them. No assists. I always liked him as a player, but unfortunately I think injuries have taken their toll. He's not someone who could help us aside from being "another body". We need improvements on, or at bare minimum competition for our existing wingers.
  9. Really good post match interview with the BBC. He's grounded, realistic, but proud of the players. That's got to instil some confidence and resilience in the squad. He's right: It's going to go down to the wire. I just hope Top backs him, Rudkin pulls his finger out, and the players keep working hard for him. 🤞🏼
  10. Missed most of the game, but sounded (and looked when I could get a stream working) like he played really well! What was the shithousery lots are referring to?
  11. Put a fork in us already.
  12. How do you think they're fuelling the flamethrowers? Gotta cut costs with PSR, y'see.
  13. I can see the headline now! "Blades sign spine of 23/24 Championship winning team"
  14. When you can't trust Percy, who can you trust, eh?
  15. Just in case it gets taken down...reposting here from the Transfer Talk thread:
  16. He's just posted on his Instagram Stories dismissing this as Fake News, FWIW.
  17. Oooh I'd definitely take Edwards as an option.
  18. When is he actually due back? Seems odd for them to want to sign an injured player.
  19. That's a really good point about PSR. Hadn't even considered that angle. How grim. I live down that way and Brighton have such a massive opportunity to tap into the next generation of fans down here. You see a fair few Fulham, Palace, and some Chelsea kits, but it's not proliferated with Man Utd, Liverpool or Man City fans it seems. It's a bit like Southampton: Their relative success/stability in the 90s ish means there are Southampton fans all across the West Country too, and up into Wiltshire. I reckon Brighton fandom could easily expand out through Kent, for example, given time. So demand for season tickets and tickets generally could stay high if they play their cards right.
  20. I'm not a huge believer in 3ATB, but I quite like this. Uses our squad best, I think. If we don't have 2-3 quality wingers (we don't, especially with Fatawu injured), this makes most sense in facilitating a box midfield but adding more balance to the defence. By all accounts Coulibaly is good at getting up and down the flank, as Kristiansen can be too. I do wish we had a striker better at holding up the ball though. That's not where Daka's (or Vardy's) strengths lie.
  21. I think you're spot on with those in italics. We didn't use Coady last time, and I doubt we'll need to use him again. Winks I agree will probably be looking to leave. Fatawu, I'd hope not, considering he's been recovering with us most of this year and I'd like to think is quite connected to the club/fans. But I appreciate that's not really how football works any more.
  22. Do we actually think having a manager or not will have any impact on our squad's ability to play a full 90 minutes of football? I'm honestly not sure it matters at this point. They're just not good enough, and confidence is through the floor.
  23. I don't know that I'm "Ruud Out", but I'm certainly not "Ruud In". Completely lost faith in his ability to get anything out of us. It feels ridiculous saying it, but I can't see us getting another point this season.
