Match Ratings : Leicester 2-0 Swansea - Vote Now

Recommended Posts

Kasper - 8 - safe handling and an excellent block with his leg that we've seen so often in the last 3 years

Waz - 7 - Unlucky to be subbed because he was dealing with Swansea's rare attacks with ease

Wes - 7 - A couple of loose touches but outweighed by the amount of times he put a foot in to break up an attack.

Hooooth - 8 - So solid, can't believe Stoke don't need him.

Cambiasso - 9 - Immaculate performance. His range of passing is amazing, What. A. Player.

Kingy - 8 - Did a lot of good work in the middle and of course, the winner again.

Jeff - 6 -  He's not a Premiership left back, had problems when he got switched there.

Albrighton - 8 - Put in about 9 or 10 decent centres that no-one attacked, unlucky with two shots especially the second one.

Kramaric - 7 - Get excited when he cuts inside but he needs one of these curling shots to hit the target

Ulloa - 7 - Got the goal but so frustrating. His first touch is shocking and must learn to attack a cross not wait for it on his heels.

Vardy - 8 - Ran his balls off for the team, always a threat and should have definitely had a penalty.

De Laet - 6 - Shored up the left side a bit but didn't have much chance going forward.

Drinkwater - 7 - Got stuck in but looks like a player who's not been playing regularly.

Mahrez - 7 - unlucky with one effort turned wide but should have buried the chance that Vardy teed up instead of dinking it

Referee - 6 - Average but really, how is that not a pen?

Pearson - 9 - Got the tactics right again, sent them out with all guns blazing and made changes at the break and late on to make sure we stayed on top.

Atmosphere - 10 - The 12th man. Huge credit to the Kop Corner too, never stopped for 94 minutes.

No one below 6 and most on 7.

8 for Huth, 9 for King and Cambo.

Vardy, Ulloa, Kramaric, Schlupp and Mahrez a bit patchy but all had moments of real quality too. Ulloa looked to be limping at end of first half, glad he came off. We need him fit for next week.

King and Cambo worked very well together with a real intuitive understanding. King and Albrighton did some nice 1-2's.

Kings fitness helped in the heat to keep the pressure up, it allowed Cambo to ease up a bit and keep going. Our best midfielder in the air too.

Cambo should be our deadball specialist. That freekick for the second goal was perfect, with Vardy breaking the wall, spin on the ball as well as pace so Fabrianski spilled it for King to finish.

King my MoTM, though very close with Cambo and Huth.

Lot of high marks for Kramaric. If Ulloa and Nugent had played like that they would of got 4s. Great talent, but for a relegation battle, especially away at Burnley he's too weak and i hate to say it but his finishing is poor at times.

Kramaric did some great bits of play, but is not yet a team player for all his individual brilliance. Finishing was a bit off but class showed at times. When he has settled in a bit more he will be a real handful for other teams.

It took Cambo a few months to get match fit for the premiership too.

Schmeichel - 7 - Not much to do, great save at 1-0 from Nelson

Wasyl - 7 - looked fine, disappointed to see him taken off but worked well
Huth - 8 - Looked composed, excellent - should have signed him in the summer
Morgan - 7 - Strong and effective in defence, pretty good going forward - more like the Wes of August and September

Albrighton 8 - Looked very impressive, tore them open, should have got a goal.
Cambiasso 9 - Bossed it, and I'm still baffled by his vision. That pass to Albrighton...
King 9 - Teamed up well with Albrighton on the wing and Cambiasso in the middle. Love the boy
Schlupp 7 -  Played fine, starting to get a bit more consistent

Kramaric 6 - Bit quiet, didn't really get much of a sniff but played fine
Vardy 7 - Hard working, didn't give them a moments peace, should have had a penalty but did cock up when 2 on 1 with Mahrez
Ulloa 7 - Good finish, linked better.

Subs:
De Laet 7 - Held up well against Montero and kept him quiet
Mahrez 8 - More like the Mahrez of old, silky skills and opened them up
Drinkwater 6 - didn't do much but shored it up nicely.

Swansea 6 - Bit toothless but the quality was there
Ref 4 - Missed an obvious penalty for both sides
Pearson 8 - starting to learn and get his tactics and changes spot on again.

Wow - a 90 minute performance! And 100% from every player involved, at least to the limit of their abilities.

Cambiasso MOTM again, with an 8

7s for Huth, Albrighton, King and Mahrez

6s for everyone else.

A lot of what we know was confirmed again on Saturday:

Schmeichel is a great shot-stopper who hates coming for crosses

de Laet is better going forward than defending

Was is too immobile to play right back

Huthe is just what we've needed

Wes can defend. He just can't play.

Schlupp has it in him to be a player, but not at left back

Albrighton should have played more often than he has

Vardy is just a first touch, a good pass and a composed finish away from being a top class striker

Good to see, at last, evidence that Kingy can influence games positively at this level. Good to see Drinky back to something like his best too.

And it remains a privilege to watch Cambiasso.

He's the only player of the past 10 seasons who'd get in my 1995-2015 XI (sorry Sav).
