Guest Bilo Posted 27 April 2015 Posted 27 April 2015 A more realistic scenario is that if we lose tomorrow and win on Saturday, coupled with a home defeat for Sunderland to an on-form Southampton side who slapped them 8-0 earlier in the season, we'll be four points ahead of them with a vastly superior goal difference. We'd effectively have a five point lead over a Sunderland who'd still have to go to Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea. In that scenario, even a defeat to them in our last away of the season probably wouldn't be enough for them to catch us.

sdb Posted 27 April 2015 Posted 27 April 2015 Newcastle is huge. Really hope we're fit and ready for it, and that we don't underestimate them. Their big names return too so will be a different proposition.

BUT the hard work is far from done, we are only 1 point above the relegation zone, lets take it a game at a time and not worry about other teams just focus on what we have to do.

Never has the old 'take it one game at a time' cliche been so relevant.
LCCFox96 Posted 28 April 2015 Posted 28 April 2015 I can't see us racking up another 6 points. Anything we can get off Chelsea on Wednesday will be a bonus as it is our game in hand, especially if Hull lose to Liverpool tonight. The Newcastle game presents a colossal potential 3 points for us. If we can win that we put ourselves in a very strong position. I think 3/6 is a realistic proposition and anything above that would be a massive result for us. I'd love to take Jose's boys for kicking on Wednesday and crash the title party.
