glenelgfox Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 I think Kramaric will grow into his role next season and will be a big improver. He has good foot skills and decent evasive skills but like Mahrez - he often tries to do too much where often a a release to team mate better option however I think both he and Mahrez have that quality x factor excitement when they attack the defence - both are very dangerous. Hopefully exciting times ahead for next season.
Swiper Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Agree. 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. While I think Kramaric has the potential to be our best striker, he needs game time to get to that level. I think Vardy is a no-brainer, so do you pair him with Kram in the hope he gets better, or stick with the tried and tested Ulloa/Nuge? The plot thickens if Okizaki is signed. Do you run Nuge/Okizaki behind the strikers? I suppose it's a good problem to have, but that would be 5 strikers who all have a dog in the fight.
Dan Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Felt he'd score. Had money on him to score. Quality finish from a quality player. He's struggled but there is such blatant talent there. He deserves time.
Babylon Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Seems a bit slow. What I thought... Got outpaced by Richard Dunne just after coming on.
VLC86 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 He's clearly technically top draw and a finisher, my concern is where will he fit in the starting XI next season? If we continue with this 3-4-1-2 then that leaves two striker spots to fill, as that 1 should be an attacking midfielder and not a striker dropping deep. For the two strikers, you've got Vardy who causes havoc up top with his running, creates numerous chances for others and who you'd expect to score more next season if his second season in the Championship is anything to go by, and Ulloa as the physical presence who holds the ball up, brings others into play and can score double figures in this league. Who do you stick on the bench for Kramaric? It's an interesting puzzle for Nigel to solve next season. You seam to be overlooking the fact that his chosen position is probably where Riyad currently plays.
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 So because we haven't been relegated the question is do chelsea still have a buy out clause on him ??
LCCFox96 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 As fans, we've been impressed with the smallest glimpses of his ability and he has produced 3 very tidy finishes already. He should cut out the weaker elements to his game (like the naive chip shots he attempted vs Arsenal and Sunderland) he got away with at Rijeka over pre-season and he'll play a big role next season. He's a talented player, we just need to patient with him.
LCCFox96 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Maybe someone to compete with Mahrez to play in the hole or have Vardy move there. I agree we need another CAM to challenge Mahrez's position but moving Vardy there would be foolish in my opinion. He's thrived off running the channels and wrecking havoc on the defenders whilst leading the line. It's even earnt him an England cap. Playing behind two other forwards and between the two wide players would restrict his use of pace and ability to run as freely. He also doesn't have the technical skill and eye for a pass Mahrez does to play in that role. A dangerous and limiting move to pull Vardy back off the front two in my opinion.
Libertine Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Looking forward to seeing him next year. Think his work-rate could improve as well as his decisiveness (he often turns, then turns again rather than squaring it). Chuffed he got a goal yesterday. First home goal too I think.
Number 6 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Difficult to fairly assess him after not much game time. Took his goal very well, there is definitely a finisher there. A lot of the goals Ian YouTube videos seemed to show him finding space in the box, that's been harder to come by and think he's having to adapt, which will take time. He needs to stop stopping the ball dead at every opportunity though. Then trying to change direction too many times before releasing the ball. Defenders not being fooled by it.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Big pre season for him. Needs to hit the ground running next year.
ScouseFox Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Was a great goal. Looked very lively but does look slow. Think he might be starting to adapt to playing as a wider/deeper striker rather than just waiting around in the box for a chance. Harsh to say he got outpaced by dunne though, he tried to get round him but he's so big he had to run an extra 20 yards to get past .
NewburyFox Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 You seam to be overlooking the fact that his chosen position is probably where Riyad currently plays. Nah I wouldn't play him there - it's too deep. You need somebody very creative there who can naturally drop back into midfield when needed. Kramaric is a striker and should be played there, any deeper and we'd be wasting his talent IMO.
David Hankey Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 The whole team played fantastically well and thoroughly deserved this mauling of a pretty woeful QPR. 5 goals from 5 different individuals and a truly wonderful performance, who could ask for more. Bring on next season!!
foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Yeah really pleased for him. He'll be a big player for us next season. Still not sure who I'd drop though
