15yrs of ups and downs are we now ready...?

I recall similarly daft pictures being put up about this time last year. And then it became highly apparent we hadn't strengthened sufficiently.

The point I was making was that we don't know about Huth yet, nor Cambiasso and it's almost time for the bulk of teams to start pre season training again. So yes it would be nice to see some players starting to join the club or even to secure the services of the two aforementioned,

I await another immature pictorial response.....

Very early days still for signings mate.

Players go on holiday you know.

You realise that the window doesn't open for another week, and by signing Fuchs we've made more signings than most of the division? this is like complaining at Christmas that the bulk of the January business isn't done.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm not too bothered about what league we're in or where we finish. Obviously I'd like us to be as successful as possible, but what's most important to me is that we have a club to be proud of and one which treats fans well, players and staff that put effort in and some excitement on the pitch. Taking that all into account, I'm very content right now.

I'd also much rather have all that in the Championship/League One, than be pushing for top 6 in the Prem having sold our soul, players we just don't feel any connection to and the next Harry Redknapp who is purely around for his own benefit and will do anything to achieve it. I'm not saying you can't push for top 6 without doing that but 3 points on the pitch isn't everything.

Nigel Pearson has built up a 'proper team'.

By that I mean, we've got a real sense of continuity with players from season to season - with a real, tangible relationship between the squad and the fans.

We've got:

Schmeichel -  been here 4 years - 180 apps

De Laet - 3 years - 114

Morgan - 3.5 years - 158

Drinkwater - 3.5 - 138

James - 3 - 99

King - 9 - 302

Vardy - 3 - 106

Schlupp - 5 - 114

Moore - 4 - 66

Nugent - 4 - 180

Think of all the dross we had after the MON years - with players coming and going - some real mercenaries with no attachment to the club or fans

Ah, correlation and causation; the age old outing of an absolute idiot.

Either you are very clever or I am very idiot (lol) cos I literally have no idea what you are going on about?

Without a doubt we need to strengthen the team and the squad and I'm sure Pearson and his scouting team have plenty of decent players in mind, as long as we keep the nucleus of the team that played so well in the final 9 games....

We hadn't signed anyone at this point last season. As it turns out we didn't sign enough experience, and that lead to us struggling. However, that had nothing to do with not singing players in June.

You wrongly attribute us not singing someone in June last year to the end result, ergo your presumption that the same will happen this year.

Business in June had nothing to do with our failings last year and it will have no impact on our business - good or bad - this year, either.

There...did that hurt?

And I agree..

We have introduced 3 new players, without spending ridiculous sums, we have a couple of young players in the background,

will be interesting if Lawrence can confirm his potential this season, and break into the 1st team on a regular basis.

Forget his performances from last year, I am sure we didnt buy him just to sit in the reserves or on the bench.

Our Thai owners show they dont want to go crazy and just splash out their money, which means stability and good club management.

I am hopeful we can lookforward to 5-6 seasons of continuity, and confirm our place has a solid PL team.

Also to create a solid platform and this continuity, lets hope we can keep Pearson , who can take us into an unprecedented era.

Pearson is the one manager, who has earned the right to use this famous motivating phrase....

NOW LET LOOSE THE DOGS OF WAR.........

But let it be the fox who stops, brings his Vardy growl to the fore , turns around and chases these phuking annoying bloodhounds back into their kennels.

If we don't buy too many and we have a poor start, I suggest the manager will be shown the door if the owners were prepared to invest. If not, it would confirm that we are working to a tightish budget.

Seems we won't have to wait till October ..........

Same old Leicester makes you think there must be something in the water that makes them afraid of success.
