When is Wes Morgan back?

Like Wes... But struggled last season until Huth arrived and made him look better!.. Really don't think he's Ranieri 's type of player, so think he'll be out of favour this season and may move on, probably out on loan to Forest!...

You lot are bonkers. He'll stay as club captain, and he'll start every game he's fit for. He was fine last season bar a dodgy patch that basically the whole squad went through.

Wes and Huth will be first choice, with Benny/Was competing for the 3rd slot, Moore/Fuchs/De Laet/Simpsom as backup should we need it.

Hopefully the end. Only reason he even looked remotely decent towards the end of last season was because Huth was carrying him (and most of the team).

It's a pretty big leap to suggest that Morgan, club captain and ever present (injury aside) since he joined Leicester, is going to be relegated to 7th choice centre half.

You all are crazy, I thought Wes really stepped up when Pearson changed to a back 3 and brought in Huth.  He only improved his stock playing so well in the gold cup, and leading Jamaica to their best ever finish in the tournament.

He might not be flashy, but he's a brick ****ing wall.

Was excellent in the run in and once settled to the Prem. Reckon he's got another good season or 2 left in him at this level.

Any of you lot remember Franco Baresi, not blessed with much pace at all one of the best defenders of all time, anyway Yohan has a turn of pace

There are a tonne of slower CBs than Wes! He was vastly improved at the end of last season. Our defence was an absolute rock with him in it. I can't see there being much change at the back unless Benalouane performs when he gets the chance.

How he kept his place last season at times was unfathomable. He was absolutely woeful for a period of time. Yes a lot of our players were gash, but Morgan was one of the worst out of the gash in our crap spell. Saying that seemed to get his act together and looked much better and much more comfortable in the run in.

As for retaining the captaincy - he shouldve never been captain in the first place.

Never known such a divided response, I am a big fan, and am certain he will be ahead of Wasilewski and Moore.....some truth in he may be Ranieri's type of player, but there's an argument to say after one full season he'll be even better....interestingly nobody has answered the original question....where is he, when is he back?

The disrespect shown towards Wes on this thread is utterly baffling. Since he signed he's comfortably been one of our most consistent players and proved at the end last season that he could hack in the PL despite a wobbly few games earlier on in the season.

He wasn't woeful in any game, but he did manage to go on a run of making one mistake a game and getting punished for it.

People only remember the highlights/headlines, it's like the people who think frank Sinclair was crap because he scored a few own goals.

Go back and check the stats, he was a beast and virtually ever present in a successful season. We were never thrashed and considering the sometimes lightweight midfield and inability to retain possession at times is no mean feat.

He will be much better this year after a season playing against the best followed by a summer taking on the likes of Messi, Neymar and Sanchez.

Liverpool (h) and QPR (a) i'd say were pretty bad. I know what you're saying about more individual mistakes but those games he struggled for me - and 1 or 2 others.

Do think he had a massive confidence dip and is now well over that. Would be in my XI for sure.

He is not good enough for a team that wants to finish above 14th . Think ranieri might have a heart attack when he watches bombscare try and control it and pass it about at the back.sell him back to forest so he can get his tat out
