bald reynard Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 According to Forza Italia website, City are interested in Dejan Stojanovic, a 22 year old Austrian / Macedonian (played at Youth level for both) Goalkeeper, currently down the pecking order at Bologna (he was on loan to a Serie B side last season).
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 why? Because you want 3 decent quality keepers available in your squad... and Hamer is off on loan
bald reynard Posted 11 August 2015 Author Posted 11 August 2015 why? Perhaps Claudio thinks that Schwarzer really should be drawing his pension; Hamer's gone and Maddison is too young !
Stevosevic Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 CR has already said he wants another keeper. We are three down on last season! (Hamer, Logan and Smith)
filbertstreet Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 aw I forgot about conrad sure why not he'll be cheap
AKCJ Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 CR has already said he wants another keeper. We are three down on last season! (Hamer, Logan and Smith) Exactly. Might as well get a quality youth in. Learn a bit off Schwarzer and get him pushing for Kasper's spot next season.
Kitchandro Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Because you want 3 decent quality keepers available in your squad... and Hamer is off on loan So we need to bring in two keepers then
dogadug Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Hamer was good enough for backup, should've just kept him rather than loaning him out
Stevosevic Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Hamer was good enough for backup, should've just kept him rather than loaning him out You need to have a GK who is prepared to sit on the bench every week, he was not.
Soar Fox Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 You need to have a GK who is prepared to sit on the bench every week, he was not. How do you know he wasn't prepared to sit on the bench? He must have knew last season when he signed that he wasn't going to be our number 1. He certainly didn't deserve to be dropped for Schwarzer.

Soar Fox Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Because he said so... I think he was more than prepared to sit on the bench and take his chances whenever they came. But as he was dropped to 3rd choice over the pensioner there was no point in him hanging around.

But as he was dropped to 3rd choice over the pensioner there was no point in him hanging around. Pretty sure he came out and said he wanted to play more football - not gonna happen here. Ranieri said in an interview he was a good keeper and should be playing more. So he got loaned out every one wins and we need to buy a young keeper so this seems perfect to me.
ALC Fox Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Age is definitely on his side. Why not give him a season training alongside Schmeichel and Schwarzer and see if he can push for the first team in a year or two's time, and if not someone will take him on loan a la Hamer.
lgfualol Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 I'm bored with the quiet week, so I'm gonna go with yes sign him up asap.
