ozleicester Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 Dont know enough about most of the signings... but from everyone elses feedback they all seem very good and quality team and squad improvements. Now, as long as we can hold on to he who shall remain nameless for the rest of this year.
Guest Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 If a net spend of approx 15m sees us finish comfortably mid-table, i reckon that's doing pretty good business.
Clever Fox Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 I've every confidence in our scouting network simply because they haven't made too many mistakes yet. The only one that worries me so far is Benaloune. But then we haven't seen enough of him yet. His few rash challenges might have been just him trying to make an early impression. When he's been around the squad for a few weeks he might settled down. If he can play right back and is solid then I can see us finishing at least mid table with the way everyone is performing right now. Let the good times roll.
TheLittleBigMan Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 Loving the fact our Jeff is keeping the Austrian captain who scored against Real Madrid out the team. Up the foxes.
les-tah Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 I think people should stop worrying about Benny we wouldn't of thrown millions at him if hes shiit! Every time hes came on we've been under the cosh heavily in both second halves because of our early lead. Lets see what he can do from a start in his correct position. Then moan if hes crap!
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 I'm confident and don't call me Shirley.
Bettsj2 Posted 21 August 2015 Posted 21 August 2015 Really. What do you think of Was? He seems to me to be in the same style and vain of Was, but younger and faster. He is a rock of a defender. yes he could be a little reckless in some challenges, but I think he gives us another big strong no holds bar defender. I dont think Benny is reckless I think he's a calculating bastard who in an old fashioned sense wants to 'leave one' on the opponent. He will get booked and he will get suspended but you need these kind of defenders. Take Newcastle away last year. If Benny was playing, Obertan would have been in a heap on the half way line rather than being allowed to run the length of the pitch, getting a shot off and scoring.

Fair point... and it's not like his record wouldnt of been checked first... Tinkerman: nice one, Walshy, he's as hard as nails... Surprised he didnt get booked much last season. Walshy; Err... yeah... let me just pull his record up *cough* to show you * cough* Tinkerman: ok great Walshy: errr.... Tinkerman: What? Walshy: Bugger. Tinkerman: what?
Rincewind Posted 22 August 2015 Posted 22 August 2015 Inler has Tweeted about the atmoshphere. Says its great. Think he'll be a fans favourite soon.
glenelgfox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Compared to last summer, this transfer window has been amazing, even if we don't sign anyone else. Would love Armarty to finish things off. I agree - we look to have signed some decent players without paying stupid $$$.
dylanlegend Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 Good signings but what worries me is the lack of English talent being signed. Although proven English players are hugely overpriced in today's market. Not sure if the last few signings are Walsh's or Ranieri's either? The thing we have to remember is that nearly every other club have made impressive signings... Even mourinho commented on Bournemouth signing Gradel. Moral of story- let's not get carried away. Avoiding relegation is still the number one priority
