The 6 signings.. It's got to give you confidence, surely?

Its going to be a nice quiet Jan 2016 transfer window, Job done....OK maybe a RB and GK...and...etc... :) '

All depends how the first half of the season goes.

If we are hanging around 14th with a sizesble gap to 18th the owners will probably want to see the season out... But if there is even a sniff off a euro place then their vision will go all blurry and they'd be running for the cheque book...

Echo the sentiments that it's become quite a strong summer after all. Early days but we seem to have a manager with his head screwed on who actually appreciates what we're good at and has done all to ensure we keep doing it. I'm a hell of a lot more content than I was a month ago.

Unless an insane RB or winger becomes available I hope we're done now. Great additions but need to keep the core of a successful and dedicated squad together as well.

Benalouane worries me ...already picking up yellows- reckless. Position needs covering for when he's banned.

Did have a rep for picking up bookings for Atalanta, perhaps trying to go over the top in making an impression combined with old habits?

Just put a £10 on lcfc to have a top 10 finish 5/2 Odds. That is how confident i am. :) Who will join me?

Don't like waiting for long bets to come in but i think the price is OK not great but with all our signings what can you expect, Also think top ten is doable i would say its evens so maybe you got a bit of value

It'd be even sweeter if Danny Simpson goes!

Yea he is a total waste of space in the squad, but he is a defender and you never know what is going to happen through the season with injury's and our defence is our weakest part of the team by a long way at the moment.

I doubt he is the type of player to really try and improve and get himself in the squad because he wasn't a bad player not long ago he has just had alot of personal shit and seems like a bit of a willy puller

I wouldn't say struggled is the right word. I just think ranieri is being wise. With so many new signings, you'd totally upset the balance of the team to throw them all in from the get go...

I agree over time im sure we will see the new players start more frequently as they adapt to the pace of the game/ get fitter etc.. i also wouldnt want to see players that helped us get to where we are cast aside but i stand by the second point, drinky and king have been rocks in the centre vastly improving from certain stages last year.

It's almost like 2 extra signings....

The signings look adept. We've certainly added players with the necessary CV requirements and for a very reasonable price too. Now they need to prove themselves on the pitch. Huth and Okazaki have made excellent starts.

I've also been impressed with our outgoing business too. £6.5mil racked up for Wood and Nugent is good business too. All round this summer's business has been impressive.

I'd take Elmohamady as an option now Trippier is off the market. That'd do me.

I love Shinji too. Didn't look amazing in preseason but the extra time with the squad seems to have helped. He is so intelligent and selfless. Love how he said he wasn't even tired after the west ham game!

Have gone from expecting 17th place finish and fearing relegation following NP's sacking  to expecting about 12th.....

We have a clear plan to consolidate and progress. Although I don't agree with the decision to sack NP in every other respect our owners have been very sensible and considered in their decisions. We can't account for cultural differences with Thailand.

Here's my thoughts on our signings:

Huth - A man to build our defence around.

Fuchs - Has underwhelmed so far, but has great potential. Expect him to be a regular starter soon.

Okazaki - Adds a lot to the team in the same way that Nuge did and an upgrade quality-wise, plus looks more likely to snaffle goals. Helps to have a Far East player too!

Inler - Not been so excited about a signing in my life! Got massive hopes he will become our talisman in a position we have been weak in. Fingers crossed and if not James, Drinky, King, Kanté are more than capable!

Kante - Going to be our Ramires I'm sure of it. Don't expect he'll be here more than a couple of seasons and we'll make a big profit.

Benalouane - Don't think we need him tbh!

Benalouane is a very good signing in my opinion. He opted to represent Tunisia because he didn't believe he would get in the France squad and then France came calling but he couldn't represent them because he committed himself to another nation and has since refused to play for Tunisia. You don't have France attempting to call you up if you aren't a quality player. I don't get all the doubt surrounding this player.

Too early to tell about the others, and Huth is carrying on from his loan, but Okazaki is the only one who has hit the ground running IMO. Fuchs and Benelouane in particular will need to improve significantly. However, the core of our squad equally took some time to acclimatise to this league last season so we perhaps should not expect too much too soon.

How can some fans be so stupid. .what a statement to make "They need to improve significantly " between them they gave had about 45 mins on the pitch. How you can make a judgement on players in that time simply amazes me. What an absolute plonker you really are.

Compared to last summer, this transfer window has been amazing, even if we don't sign anyone else. Would love Armarty to finish things off.

Really.  What do you think of Was?  He seems to me to be in the same style and vain of Was, but younger and faster.  He is a rock of a defender.  yes he could be a little reckless in some challenges, but I think he gives us another big strong no holds bar defender.

He'd be the icing on the cake.

Anything else would feel like a game of football manager where I'm almost excited when someone gets injured so I can try out another exciting acquisition...
