cityfanlee23 Posted 20 September 2015 Author Posted 20 September 2015 Ricardo? He was 35 when we signed him but I definitely thought he'd be better than he was Did he concede a penalty in his 8 appearances??
The Horse's Mouth Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 I know he hasn't really been given a chance anyway, but I really like the look of Lawrence. Always wanted Franck Moussa to do well as well for some reason
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 September 2015 Author Posted 20 September 2015 Not an LCFC player but worth a mention, Victor anichibe, thought he'd end up playing for england.

The Doctor Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Not an LCFC player but worth a mention, Victor anichibe, thought he'd end up playing for england. Despite being Nigerian?
J.Lisemore Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Definitely not Useless, and was already coming into prime when we signed him... But thought Beckford would be firing for us in the prem when we signed him, His attitude was a disgrace. Genuinely called it when he first arrived, clearly came for the £££ and I thought he'd be pants. His lazy attitude would never have fit in our club.
Dan Gliballs Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Mattock The 2nd Tommy Wright, Stearman, that massive CB who's name now completely escapes me (2005 sort of era). Basically anyone who came through the ranks. Matt 'Sticks' Heath?
sdb Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Matt 'Sticks' Heath? Thanks, knew it was something like that...but kept thinking 'Huth'. Slight difference between the 2. Surely Heath is still playing? Can't be more than 32/33? Remember meeting him in Lo La Lo's in Leicester and blowing smoke up his arse (metaphorically). Embarrassing, although he seemed genuinely nice.

Captain... Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Going back a bit but Stefan Oakes, Sam McMahon, Stuart Wilson, Stuart Campbell a bit more recent Alan Sheehan. Always looked at the young players coming through with blue tinted specs, thought they would all go on to be world beaters, they never did.
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 September 2015 Author Posted 20 September 2015 Despite being Nigerian? with british citizenship, pre 2008 he was eligible for england.
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 September 2015 Author Posted 20 September 2015 Who's the unit striker we had in the reserves? Can't remember his name but he looked above average. N'guessan looked like he could have been anything when he signed, had loads of raw potential, He was our Gabriel Obertan.

Basically anyone who came through the ranks. Yeah, just like that Gary Lineker. Played a few games, scored a couple of goals........never to be heard of again. Whatever happened to him?

big stodge Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 the fact you're going back that far kinda proves his point Well, he say "anyone". Got to agree about Joe Mattock though. Future full international in the making then the wheels sort of came off.

Future full international in the making then the wheels sort of came off. Remember watching him against Norwich, Dion dublin came on and smashed the bar whilst we were singing leicester reject haha, Joe played quite well, he must have only been 18, his positioning was dodgy but he genuinely looked half decent, Though Wednesday done well signing him and he's been genuine and solid for them for the most part, If he had survived and played through the new owners era, I genuinely think our improved facilities and coaching since the owners came could have made all the difference.

Now playing for Rotherham, went there on a free.

Kitchandro Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 What a ringing endorsement that is. I know what he means though, they're both that sort of player with raw assets that make them look like they could be quality, but in the end consistently flatter to deceive. N'Guessan was a match winner once in 15, useless the rest of the time.

N'Guessan was a match winner once in 15, useless the rest of the time. Problem is he showed his match winning skills in his early matches, scoring the winner against swansea on our first game back in the championship for example, so we were just clutching at straws when he was playing useless hoping he would come through and find form again, still waiting! 8 clubs since he left 4 years ago, now at Doncaster, Good luck to him.
Rob1742 Posted 20 September 2015 Posted 20 September 2015 Ricardo? Portugal international playing in the championship we thought we wouldn't concede again. Yet he was actually doing his best to score own goals. I remember talking to a player at the end of year awards and I said "Ricardo isn't here then" The player said "I don't think he has ever been here has he, he's crap"
