Schwarzer - 5 - I'm not confident in him. Was it even a foul at the end? Looked like he just dropped it.

Simpson -  1 - Shame there's no option for a 0, he should be a zero. Even if he'd won everything and scored a hat trick he'd still deserve a zero just for being a cvnt. Not sure why he wasn't roundly booed.
Benalouane -  9 - Great performance. Solid and some fantastic passes.
Wasilewski - 7 - Solid
Fuchs - 8 - Wasn't sure about him first half but very good after that.

Albrighton - 7 - Typical Albrighton performance
King - 8 - Looked in his element. Great trademark header
Inler - 5 - Still not impressed. He's not a bad player, he just looks lethargic and unfit. Even when shooting he looked like he was struggling for movement, hence why his technique was all wrong.
Dodoo - 6 -  I turned up late and missed his goal lol Didn't notice him after

Kramaric -  5 -
I thought he looked ok first half but he really blew it with that miss. He needed that goal, nobody will remember him skinning the bloke with ease. He's clearly got potential but he's short on confidence. I'd like to see him come off the bench in a league game at least.
Ulloa - 7- At times he can look lazy and a donkey but more often than not last night he was the good Ulloa. Hold up play was quality, his knock downs had a great success rate and he just generally linked up well.

Mahrez - 6 -
Should have buried that chance when clean through and didn't do much but still showed the odd moment of brilliance. Amazing pass shortly after he came on.
Kante - 10 - Hero. Best tackler I've ever seen. He makes a massive difference in the middle of the park, he suits our game perfectly. He has to be a regular starter.
Schlupp - 3 - Classic Schlupp. I've never seen a player so thick in my life. Somebody summed it up behind me when they said 'Jeff, don't think, just run!' lol 3 golden chances to score and he managed to fvck them all up because he didn't know what to do, even though they were all perfect for him. The first all he had to do was open his body up and slide it in with his left, the second all he had to do was run onto it and smash it with his left (instead, bizarrely he decided to turn back onto his right) and the other he slowed down and spooned it over the bar. He is loveable in his own ridiculous way I suppose. But my god he's frustratingly dumb.

Schwarzer - 5 - Unlucky with the deflected goal, looked nervous but wasn't overly troubled.

Simpson - 7 - One of his better games for us. Shame he's a tosser really.

Benalouane - 8 - His best game by some margin. Looks totally assured on the ball and makes his tackles when he needs to.

Wasilewski - 7 - Similar to Benny. Great experience to haul down Lanzini at the end on the halfway line.

Fuchs - 7 - Ripped to shreds when up against Moses but played very well when they moved Moses inside. Awesome delivery for the goal.

Dodoo - 7 - Great finish for the goal but didnt make much of an impact on the game as it went on.

Inler - 6 - Decent. He's getting better but he needs to stop taking so many shots from way out.

King - 8 - Hero. Captains performance despite a quiet 20 mins towards the end of the 90. Great header.

Albrighton - 7 - Thought he was playing really well. Surprised to see him come off ahead of Dodoo.

Kramaric - 5 - Needs a goal so bad. Reminds me of Fryatt in some ways.

Ulloa - 8 - Thought he was superb and would like to see him start ahead of Okazaki on Saturday.

Schlupp - 4 - Didn't go for him. Jenkinson played him well.

Mahrez - 6 - Would have been a 7 if he'd buried on of his chances.

Kante - 9 - Absolute star.

Ranieri - 7 - Good subs, needed pace up front from the start though IMO.

Ref - 2 - Poor for both sides.

At the start of each half, i always make sure to shout to schlupp which way we're shooting. As long as he knows that, we're usually golden

Why are people rating Simpson so highly? He gave away two stonewall penalties that luckily weren't given. He was already on a yellow as well for both. So on any other day he probably would of given away the penalties and got sent off.

Schwarzer 6 - certain their goal took a deflection. Otherwise didn't have a great deal to do but dealt with corners well.

Simpson 7 - defends so much better than De Laet. Fairly solid theoughout although arguably should've been sent off and could've conceded a pen.

Fuchs 8 - Quality. All round great performance, great delivery and you can tell he's a seasoned pro.

Benalouane 8 - solid as a rock and can pick a pass. Doesn't mind getting physical either.

Wasilewski 7 - Why he's not near the first team baffles me. Standard Wasyl tonight.

Albrighton 6 - Usual endeavour but that's about it.

Dodoo 6 - Scored with a lovely finish but failed to do much else.

King 8 - Lead by example and as usual popped up with s crucial winner.

Inler 7 - what was vital tonight was the minutes for him. Grew into the game and had a decent enough game.

Kramaric 6 - wasted a golden opportunity to score by being clever after doing all the hard work. Seems short on confidence.

Ulloa 7 - lead the line well although looks a bit shirt of Match practice.

Completely agree with this.

Ranieri  6 - didnt think he needed to put out a brand new XI. Felt playing Schwarzer was risky and not a fan of Simpson back playing. We played well though and deserved to win so hard to be critical.

Schwarzer 6 - apart from deflected goal and being fouled at the end he had very little to do. He doesnt fill me with confidence but I cant really have a go here as nothing to go on.

Simpson 6 - Shaky at times may have got away with one in ET but largely looked solid.

Benaloune 7 - Was a rock and far more disciplined. Impressed.

Wasilewski 7 - His usual self. Commanding presence and hard to find fault.

Fuchs 7 - Not a great first half performance but grew into the game and looked terrific at crossing and his long throws look a weapon.

Albrighton 7 - Excellent while he was on. Feel like Claudio wanted him well rested in the end.

King 9 - Best performance I've seen from him in a long long time. He was everywhere. Captain's armband seemed to inspire him. Fitting he got the winner.

Inler 6 - Probably his best performance for us. Not saying much mind. Had a decent second half onwards and got in a crucial block.

Dodoo 6 - Looked lively first half and pleased he got another goal. Bit of a ghost second half and rightly subbed.

Ulloa 6 - Put in a shift and he cant help it if hes too slow for some of our moves.

Kramaric 6 - Thought he was going to cap off some individual brilliance with a finish but fluffed his lines in front of goal. Felt like a typical Kram performance. Flattered to deceive. Still think he's got a big part to play this season but dunno if Claudio rates him.

Subs

Schlupp 4 - seemed like he couldnt be arsed. Stopped running at times.

Kante 8 - hes brilliant. Superb tackling as always and just never stops running. Love the guy.

Mahrez 5 - like Schlupp a bit lazy as if saving himself for the weekend. Missed two golden chances aswell.

Wet Spam 6 - some good moves and were well in the game during normal time. we outplayed them in extra time.

Ref 7 - Solid enough game I think got most of the big decisions right.

was watching in an out first half so can't fully rate the players, just dropped in to say ranieri - 10.

masterful cup side/tactics/squad management etc from him last night. we gave all our squad players a chance to shine which most of them took. we won still. fans favourites got time to shine, unpopular players (benny, inler kinda, simpson) got chance to prove they deserve a crack if needed.

we were matching west ham and our substitutions gave us an extra edge to win it whilst still keeping our best players fresh. he brought on probably our three most combative, dangerous and energetic players at times when west ham were tiring and we upped it a level that they couldn't match. the subs integrated themselves into the match easily and perfectly.

many times you see players rested for cup games and then when the second string aren't winning a manager just goes ok, they're my three best players on the bench and makes a triple substitution with no context of the game in his mind and just hopes they turn the match. but instead he introduced kante, riyad and jeff at the right times in the right positions (pushing jeff up to stretch the game instead of being him on at LB for example).

thought it was very clever and worked perfectly.
